Any stats for distribution of play-calling

Are there any stats showing how coaches/point guards distribute play selection? Do some play get repeated right after. People seem to be bad at generating random sequences in a way they underestimate the probability of a repeat. Why would you not sometimes completely repeat the previous successful play.
