This has been something that has been talked about in the past many times but with what we have seen now who would you rather have?

Lowry and it's not debatable. This is literally a litmus test to see who actually understands basketball on this board.

Let's see how it goes...

Ps. Add a poll.

Irving is more talented, but I’d take Lowry hands down

Trying to win a championship on a good team or instill a good culture Lowry. On a team devoid of offensive talent I might take Irving

It's hilarious that Lowry's career is at the point where he is part of "good culture", lol. He came a long way.

If I need a bucket late in the 4th quarter, I take Kyrie. If i want a good overall team, I take Lowry.

Lowry for sure.

You can have all the talent you want in your team, but without chemistry, you are not going to win anything.

Kyrie. He's not injured for months, the more talented player, and 6 or 7 years younger. This sounds like one of those pile on threads just because Kyrie is in the news for whining.

Until June, Irving had the "winning narrative" on his side.....he doesn't even have that now.

Lowry.

Just look at real plus/minus stats.

In 2019, Lowry ranked #15 and Kyrie #19.

In 2018, Lowry ranked #9 and Kyrie did not make the top 40.

In 2017, Lowry ranked #10 and Kyrie did not make the top 40.

In 2016, Lowry ranked #7 and Kyrie did not make the top 40.

Lowry is an impact player. He leads the league in charges almost every year, leads the league in deflections, is a great floor general, makes everyone around him better, and can still put 20ppg on solid efficiency.

Kyrie is flashier and a better iso-scorer, but he does not have the same overall impact on a game.

I just couldn’t be a fan of a team with Irving on it. It’d be so hard to look past the self-obsessed pseudo-intellectual behaviour. So between Lowry and Kyrie? Lowry easy. Between a bag of balls and Irving? Inflated or not inflat... doesn’t matter. The balls.

not true, Kyrie only won bc Lebron is a great PG #facts

Kyrie isn't a PG..He's a SG in a PG's body. The nets will be better off playing him at SG and Spencer at PG. Lavert at SF, Durant at PF.

Kyrie is more skilled at dribbling and scoring. Lowry is FAR better at running a team as an actual point guard. There is a reason he is an advanced stats darling. As someone else said, Kyrie is a shooting guard in a point guard's body. He thrived on the Cavs with LeBron because LeBron was running the team.

Until Kawhi, Lowry was literally a joke on this board.

Known for being fat, out of shape and choking in the playoffs.

Now cause he rode Kawhi to a chip he's suddenly better thank Kyrie? Who's one of the best scorer in the NBA and regularly All NBA?

Kyrie Irving cannot run a team and never has been able to. His teams were trash before Lebron and they're trash after. It's not a surprise his teams always plays better without him (including RIGHT NOW), while with Lowry it's the exact opposite. Lowry + bench players has always been one of the best lineups in the league. I would still take Lowry at his age right now. Basketball isn't a Sprite commercial, it's an actual team game.

2 All-NBA nods in 8 years is hardly regularly.

Lowry is the most underrated player on these boards. He was a joke for people who didn't watch him and his playoff struggles were greatly overstated and tied to Derozan.

Kyle Lowry impacts winning basketball games much more than Irving.

Irving is the better natural talent, there's no debate on that.

But if you want to win a game, today, Kyle Lowry is obvious choice.
