What if Wilt Chamberlain was traded to New york

In a what-if scenario, Wilt chamberlain after clashing with sixers management is traded to the knicks rather then the lakers as the knicks offer Willis Reed for Chamberlain. How many rings do you think Wilt would have gotten if he was traded to New York and took reed's place from 1968 to 1974.

Well, Wilt with Knicks shooting and Walt Frazier in 1969 would be really good. 1970 is interesting, as Wilt would have missed most of the RS, but he would have been ready in playoffs. Then 1972-73 should be a clear Knicks win, 1971 against Bucks would be really interesting.

That would have been awesome in 1971 I can't decide who would win that series, Wilt and Kareem could have met in the finals 4 years in a row from to 1971 to 1974 I can see that whoever won those matchups could decide who was greater all-time for many people if Wilt beats Kareem three times in the finals in his twilight years he would be the goat center in many people's eyes.

How do you think Frazier and wilt would have fit together? do you think that pair would have been better than the duo of west and chamberlain? does new york coach like wilt is the question I am thinking if so I can't see the Celtics getting past them in 1969 and who do you think wins in 1969 if new york with wilt meets that Lakers team in the finals with west and Baylor along with Bvk coaching them.

I think that Frazier would fit well with Wilt. Chamberlain did well with Hal Greer who was similar player to Frazier offensively (though worse).

I don't know if playing with the Knicks and Frazier would have helped him more. What he needed was just the normal luck of any great player. He was the unluckiest great player in league history.
Although he certainly could have been a champion with the Knicks, Reed was a better fit for the Knicks than Wilt.
A healthy Reed that is. Without Reed, the Knicks were no match for the Lakers in the '72 finals. With Reed healthy for the finals in '73, the Knicks won in five games. Although all the games were close, and injuries to West doomed the Lakers.
Wilt missed winning four or five more titles by a total of about ten points. He lost two finals on one play, and two conf. finals on last second plays. He also lost a few more playoffs and finals due to injuries to him or key players during the playoffs.
