Magic Fans Anonymous first meeting

Post#1 » by Skybox » Fri Feb 7, 2020 1:44 pm

Hello, my name is Skybox and I am an Orlando Magic fan. I even buy $250 seats on occasion. Somehow, in this digital age, where geography is somewhat irrelevant, I feel bound to the team closest to my home. No matter what they do, I can't quit them. I need help :banghead:

Hello my name is MartinsIZaFraud and I am (was/not really sure right now) an Orlando Magic fan whose family has had season tickets since 2004 and I took them over in 2006. Man those were the days when we played an exciting enthusiastic brand of basketball. Heck we started the 1 in 4 out method with Dwight and the gang. Here we are 2020 with one of the worst offenses in the league, bottom 5 bench's and Season Ticket prices jacked up twice in 2 years with minimal growth on the court. There's no vision outside of Fultz/Isaac at the moment and it's getting harder to sit back and watch our team get further and further away from the NBA's new way of playing.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Hello my name is its just zo. I have Courtside row 1 season tickets this season and I have been a magic fan since day one. I am extremely disappointed this season so far but I hope there is somewhat of a turnaround. The magic is my only love and I will stick with them through thick and thin. I still have hope that we will one day win a championship in my lifetime. I am 33 so hopefully in the next 67 years or so. Unfortunately I will always be a magic fan regardless of how terrible we are.
Yet even amid the suffering that results from sin...god's love is revealed.

Hi I’m dubious kitty and this team is so garbage that I Hope most of the fan base boycotts going to games at this point. No other fan base and franchise would accept this length of low level mediocrity besides Sacramento and NY. And those are teams we don’t want to be associated with.

Hi I'm penny_nz, I am a Brit who now lives in New Zealand and despite having never even visited Florida (hoping to for the first time this year) the Magic are my favorite sports team. Similar to my unwavering support of the Redskins, I sometimes question my sanity supporting these hugely disappointing (in recent times) franchises, when I'm not even from there. However I have been a fan since I was 8 years old (5 for the Redskins) and I honestly couldn't follow anyone else. Plus basketball and American Football are my 2 favorite sports, both of which I've played in teams for many years at different times of my life.

I'm desperate for the Magic to show some firm direction and ambition, honestly I can handle losing but the losing with basically the same cast, and the style of players being brought in, and the quite frankly dull and uninspiring brand of ball we're playing right now is just very disheartening.
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era
