It was 99-98 with Peja wide open for a three to take a 101-99 lead with just 12 seconds left in the game.

Shaq ended up making 1/2 FT and then Kobe fouled Bibby who made both free throws to take it to Overtime where the Lakers won.

I remember that one-I REALLY wanted Sac to win, and that was an all time choke job. Wide open, great shooter-there is no other word than "choke"

Dude shot the ball long & off to the right. Terrible for such a good shooter considering he was wide open.

Lakers were handed that Series on a silver platter so no it's not a choke when you're battling a blantant fix.

How about... four airballs in an elimination game?

Gordon Haywood, Dwayne Wade, JJ Reddick, Derek Rose, Derrick Fisher, Lenny Wilkins, Kirk Heinrich, Oscar Robinson, DeMar DeRozen, Andre Iguadola, Pascal Siakim, Malcolm Brogdan

Peja always had a rep for coming up small in the moment. Bibby was their clutch guy.

The Kings brought Stojakovic back too early. Turkoglu was ballin' and the Kings were outplaying the Lakers while Peja was out. Stojakovic was terrible all game and you could clearly see he was bothered by injury.

Wow to remember such a detail for a game 20 years ago... It must really sting still

The refs probably would have called a Sac foul if it went in anyway

Yup it does knowing your team was the best on the court and getting screwed by the refs the way they did was brutal.

The pressure got to him and all the kings. That was terrible.
