Yeah... the more and more I think about this I think it might be time for the Bucks to start operating under an entirely different assumption.

This is completely devastating but it can definitely get a whole lot worse.

You think he'd be upset being the starting SG on a championship caliber team?

He'd be worst starting sg in the league and are we a championship team if we get bounced in 2nd round or ECF?

What if Gianiss was pissed we traded Bled and Hill?

You think we would have done that without running it by him first?

Read on Twitter

Bruski is pretty plugged in with the Kings and a pretty decent basketball writer and he thought it was a dumb move for the Bucks. The actual thread on Twitter has more commentary. Going for a glass half full post here after drinking the entire cabinet of half empties the last two hours.

This is what doesn't kill me if the deal doesn't fall through - there's a decent chance that Donte is better than Bogdan in three years, anyway.

Totally agree, but the Bucks made the move because 3 years from now means absolutely nothing without Giannis

That's the paramount issue, of course, but I still think the Holiday trade is more indicative of the fact that Giannis plans to re-sign - because I don't think we mortgage the future without that assurance.

This isn't true. Donte has plenty of fans, he was just the last asset we had left short of trading Middleton.

It's not like this regime hasn't got in trouble for tampering before so you would think it wouldn't happen again. Unfortunately, it looks like Bogdan **** us.

Did some math again here. Assuming Bogdan wants more $$$ I think it can still be saved. Ersan/Wilson/DDV make for a combining 14,6 mil, which allows Milwaukee to offer him up to 19,6 mil. In that case Bogdan according to s/t rules he would count for half of this amount for Sacramento (9.8 mil), which means that they won't have to include James to make the salaries work.

1. Middleton.....$33,051,724
2. Giannis........$27,528,088
3. Holiday........$26,231,111
4. Bogdan........$19,592,440
5. Brook..........$12,697,675
6. MLE............$5,897,995
7. Thanasis......$1,701,593
8. #42............$898,310
9. #45............$898,310
10. #60...........$898,310
5x$898,310......$4,491,550
- Leuer............$3,169,348
- Sanders.........$1,865,546
- total............$138,928,000 (hard cap)

It can be saved. Obviously Bucks won't fill the whole roster with rookies and probably will use the MLE for multiple min vets. Hawks need to drive his price to 20+ mil. Friday is close. Keep your hopes up.

Can't be a loyalist and be happy with trading him away. Especially for someone who might be only a slight upgrade on a worse contract.

That's a horrendous take. DDV statistically is already a top 10-15 SG.

With DDV over Bogs now we might have the best defense of all time.

Why would Dante want to be back with us after we just traded him? Yeah I get it we’re a contender but on the human feeling side I just don’t see it
