Re: Deepest team in the East
Trae continuing to do Trae things on the offensive end. JC and Hunter have been alternating good games thus far.
Kev and Bogdan Bogdan have been -- about average overall.
And then there's Cam...he's struggling of late.

total points added
Code: Select all
OPA is derived by adjusting offensive box plus/minus (OBPM) to account for the number of possessions the player in question is present for. Similarly, DPS is derived from a similar adjustment of defensive box plus/minus (DBPM) with that same number of possessions. OBPM and DBPM, both calculated by Basketball-Reference.com, estimate the per-100-possessions value of a player on either end of the court.
Add OPA and DPS together, and you have TPA. A score of zero indicates a player was perfectly average (by no means a bad thing for rookies or lifelong end-of-bench players), while anything positive means they were better than an average-level replacement.
Simply another advanced metric ti measure output/efficiency/effectiveness.

All that depth in street clothes. Rondo out the next 3 games.
Gallo, Onkongwu, Dunn and Snell, all out.
Time to give the 2way guys some run.
Just like last season- The Core 5 plus not much bench, sigh. My only hope is that the early season struggles becomes great experience for these young players as the season goes along.

Man, I came here for @jamallo to talk me off the ledge. I didn't know that meant he was gonna push me.

Gramps, Haliburton...wow. I’m trying to think back to see if I remember a rookie playing like a 12 year vet out there and I can’t. Even the super heralded and talented ones came out a bit wild, this kid’s efficiency and decision making are off the charts for a rook.
If the Hawks didn’t get him I’m glad a team like the Kings got him and not a team like the Warriors, Celtics, Lakers or some other snobby team.

Spud; Meanwhile, we wait. Agent 0017 is healing up. I keep hoping he will soon be available.
I know how bad you wanted him on the Hawks roster. Seems that we are having a terrible time
keeping our players healthy.
My second team is the kings because they drafted my pick. Since the draft they have become
a much improved team, from what I can find out. A veteran rookie? Really? Yep. He is !!

I’m hoping Okongwu gets healthy too and gets some playing time. These guys are all young and will get chances in the future but it would be nice for him to get a few minutes and games in a row to build momentum.
Gramps, the only other hat besides the Hawksthat I’ve owned was the one I bought in Sacramento in 1991, Spud had been traded to them. I always rooted for them because of Spud and a guy the Warriors should have never traded over there for Billy O and that’s the rock. Spud and the rock Richmond made a nice backcourt. Fox and Haliburton seem to want to continue it. I’m not mad. Go Sac!

Been following the Hawks because of Bogi. The key with Bogi is feed him catch and shoot 3’s. On catch and shoot he is a 40% 3 point shooter. Off the dribble he is a 25% 3 point shooter.

Seems like they picked their play up once they started using him as more than a spot-up shooter. Guy has some nice vision as a playmaker.

That's right and this game is a good example, I think that in the second half, after missing two "easy" 3pts shots, he hit two 3pts catch-&-shots with one being a hard one. It seems he's better with more rhythm

Yeah because of his vision it’s easy to put the ball in his hands and get frustrated. But put him on the weakside to catch and shoot or make the right pass if teams over rotate and he’s a weapon.

If Hawks make it to 3rd place, might Schlenk have a shot at Executive if the Year?
