GT: Game #28 - Charlotte Vs San Antonio (Feb 14th)

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Sat Feb 13, 2021 6:34 pm

The Spurs are one of those teams I know very little about these days.

Are they good?
Are they bad?
Are they competing?
Are they rebuilding?
Do they play fast?
Are they a half court team?
Do they bomb 3’s?
Do the work inside out?

I honestly have no idea.

Both of the Twins are out.

PJ is doubtful.

What is PJ out for?

I still think Graham should come off the bench and Miles should start instead of small ball. You can't bench LaMelo now that his WARP is on par with Lebron, Dwight, Carmelo Anthony, Garnett rookie years

NBA health-and-safety protocols.

McD has been called up from the Swarm so he might be ready to ply tomorrow night.

If so, I’d start Miles at PF and have McD back up the 4.

JB won’t do it but yes we should start and ride Miles a lot while PJ is out. Miles should just be starting for PJ as it is.

If there's ever a time to roll out a small ball starting five, this is it imo. Jakob Poeltl isn't punishing anybody in the paint. Aldridge is out. I'd start Miles at center here and see what happens.

Give me Graham/Rozier/Ball/Hayward/Bridges + Monk, McDaniels, and Zeller mixed in and let's see what happens

I'd be starting Ball/Rozier/Hayward/Bridges/Zeller.

I think we should try to go semi-conventional and avoid the 3 guard starting lineup. Devontae can provide shooting and playmaking for the second unit.

Hayward is out tonight due to lower back soreness. Bad time for him to miss a game.

Yikes!

So what does that make the lines ups look like now?

LaMelo - Tae - Terry - Miles - Cody
Monk - McD - Biz - Richards

That's a really undermanned team.

It would appear so.

Could you imagine if McD didn't get cleared? :o :o :o

Brutal though...I was looking forward to a tough battle, but realistically we should expect an L now.

Better hope Devonte’s shot is good tonight because there’s going to be a lot of them

PJ hasn't been ruled out as yet - he'd be super handy, if for nothing other than being a warm body!

Welp, just read that PJ has been officially ruled out.

So it looks like we will be playing with only 9 available players.

Ouch.

Oh, boy. This is going to be interesting. Monk may be playing 30 minutes, and McDaniels 8 or 10. Richards should get some burn--I hope he doesn't hurt anyone.

Keeling over to the Grizzlies really hurts now. Every game counts with all this COVID unpredictability.

Patty Mills is one of those dudes who always seems to go off against us.

I'll set the under/over of the numbers of three's he hits tonight at 5.5 - and I'll take the over.
