Not see enough of cabarrot to have an opinion, but hardly think mavs are intrested in waiving 3 players. Not saying its impossible, but not sure why mavs would do the 2nd part anyway

Why would Boston give away Theis?

Cut Brooklyn out, Boston keeps the 1st, and trades their TPE for Powell/one of the rookies to balance the roster sizes, if Boston wants whey can take their rookies back, I'm not sure it's possible under trade rules, but no way Ainge does it, he refused to get Myles **** Turner for free, he seems to like Thompson and Theis.

Don’t think Brooklyn would be involved here. Happy TLC has put together some decent shooting nights, but Dallas is trading our starting center and would want a center back.
I think the deal would be Smart+Thompson+Romero/Semi For KP+Burke+Iwundu.. Understand trading KP is the flavor of week.

Im not sure Ainge would view Porzingis and upgrade to Smart and Theis, not including the pick and other players involved. I know i certainly dont.
Id rather not have a team with Walker and Porzingis making 30+ million a year for the next few years.

Not enough value to Dallas IMO, although I love Marcus Smart.

I'd trade KP for Marcus Smart. Someone else could iron out the value, but if that's the meat of it I'm in.

Re: Brooklyn Help Boston Again?! w/ Dallas
If DAL is moving KP they have a need at the C spot that Theis could help fill. BOS probably doesn't want to give BRK a potential solution in the front court which is their one flaw as a team. I don't see the motivation on either BOS's or DAL's end to involve BRK in this. Don't get me wrong, TLC + 2nd for Theis/Ojeleye is fair value so it's not like BRK is "stealing" here. Just don't think they make sense as a 3rd party here.

I think in your iterations of this kind of deal the focus has been getting Theis to Brooklyn and I just don't see any circumstances in which that happens. I just don't see Ainge moving Theis, who's been their best big, to the Nets full stop. I don't see what value Brooklyn adds that can't be added by the Celtics on their own in a 3 team trade and I don't see a direct swap with Brooklyn as a possibility.
Think you'd be better off targeting guys like Whiteside, McGee, Willy Hernangomez. Should be more available even if they're a bit of a step down from Theis.

Agree.
Plus if Theis is moving in a KP trade, we all know Dallas really loves their German big men. Being able to always have either Maxi or Theis on the court would make me happy. Really like both of those guys.
