Luke Kennard got a DNP-CD today: Worst move in the summer?

Clippers traded for Kennard, gave him like a 50 mill extension and now, about halfway into the season, he looks like he's out of the rotation. This has to be the worst move of the summer, right?

Kawhi might actually dip outta there. I'm surprised this isnt being discussed more. That team looks like they are going to struggle to improve the roster or sign that Pg we all know they need.

Their cap situation isnt ideal, they have no draft picks, and they seem like they dont have players who fit. All they have is that its close to San Diego, where kawhi is from.

This is assuming they sign him? i really like that team, thats a bunch of dogs. If barett becomes consistent with his shot and they get a guy like bertans or something to just come in the game and attempt 8 3pg I really really like that team in the east. They could dominate the glass with kawhi randle and robinson, shoot with kawhi randle and a couple other shooters they can find. RJ and randle can help take playmaking from kawhi, which he doesnt even wanna do. I like that a helluva lot. I dont think they have enough firepower to win, but I that would be my favorite team to watch for sure.

They really should just trade him. He obviously doesn't fit on their roster and he's better than what he has shown with them. Even while struggling this season, he's still shooting 40%+ from three. A number of teams will find a role for him.

We are a top 4 team in the east with Payton and bullocks starting we are a point guard and either a shooting guard or small forward away rj can player either position.

I guess blow you mean top team. Kawhi is a all defensive scoring after change him for bullock and we are top 2 team this season.

Never watched him with the pistons

Watched him with the clippers and thought yes he sucks, like he has no idea what role he was being brought in and paid for. Give the guy some time to adjust as based off the figures he can shoot. But he just needs to realise that if he's playing like Bruce Bowen on offense he's unplayable since he ain't no Bruce Bowen on defense.

I feel bad for Kennard. It’s not that he is bad, he is just not as good as Lou and Reggie. He was brought in as a facilitator but with other guys stepping up, there is just no room for him in the rotation. Plus Mann is eating whatever minutes are leftover.

Kennard was always going to be a trade piece. Clips had nobody to throw into a trade for a guy like Rubio or a re-signed Lonzo. Kennard plus Fi plus a couple of second rounders may be able to net a player capable of cracking the rotation. Otherwise, add Beverly or Lou into the mix and you can go for Wall. Clips thinking the long play with the Kennard signing.

This actually makes sense for both teams. But Luke's new contract doesnt kick in until next year so the contracts dont work out.
