All around great guy. I hope he continues to stay in the basketball community. He might have a good future in broadcasting.

As an Asian Canadian I salute him for giving us a role model to look up to

They should really make a movie about Linsanity. I forget what podcast I heard him on but he had some great stories. Team officials literally had no idea who he was one day and the next day he was an international celebrity.

Biggest mistake was to leave nyc, he also should've played in the playoffs.

It's a shame he wasn't picked up from the gleague this season. His play deserved it.

Jeremy was never the best, but he was always solid and got more crap than players worse than him. Even now, he could easily play 15 minutes a game off of somebodies bench, but he got railroaded out of the league. He had the gall to basically call out black players and white executives over the span of his career, he has no allies.

He was an ok player. I think he’s being a bit whinny in his post, but all the best to him.

Feel bad for the racist nonsense he had to deal with. Him being Asian is probably the reason he didn't get called up to the league this year.

He will forever be remembered for Linsanity. It was pretty crazy back then.

He took a big deal of blatant hits that weren't even basketball plays and not called.

Him leaving NY was a Carmelo thing ...I mean the guy threw an uppercut at the guy

He's a good player....I think he can be a good 15th player tho

Feel for him. Gave it his all and was clearly an NBA player but just couldn't find a spot. Heck, he's better than Carmelo.

He has had to battle an unfair uphill battle, but at this point, he's also shown he brings very little value to an NBA team given his last few seasons. Ripping it up in the G-League doesn't change that. You'd expect any true vet to do that.

Lin is not retiring... he said he is a hooper, he will play as long as he still can... his NBA career might be over, but i think he will still have a long career overseas as long as his body is permitting...

They did, "Linsanity", a 30 for 30 documentary.

The fact of the matter is that he had a brilliant 2 week stretch that was awesome to watch, but also massively overblown simply for the fact that he did it for the Knicks when they were starved for anything positive to talk about. To be honest he was terrible for them to close that season before sitting out due to injury.

Seems like a great guy, but his level of play the past 5+ years is not bringing any value to a playoff team (I'm a bit annoyed that he's essentially using the Asian race-card here). The Warriors are so shallow they could have given him a shot based on his G-league performance (he was playing really well and we could have used the shooting), but it's unlikely he's moving the needle for them and they were shedding cap penalties.

Rooting for him. He was a great underdog story and seems like a good guy. Was really hoping he would make it work with Kobe but it didn’t work out.

We're all human. I really don't understand why people feel the need to look for same race role models.

for those who think Lin is a little whinny and using the race card, just put yourself in lin's shoes...he might lose his cool a little bit, but you'd understand he tried so hard so anxious to be back in NBA... throughout his BB journey, he had to prove to people again again again in every step, being an Asian is a big factor for that... it is really understandable from his point of view... we are all human beings, no one is perfect...
I just hope lin will find his joy in BB again, no matter where he plays... NBA is not for all, just another bb league... loosen up a little, just hoop...
