So I'll admit that I'm a little superstitious when it comes to sports. It's something I've picked up after a lifetime being a hockey player.

One superstition I have is the shirt I wear when i watch the games. I have a few different ATL shirts. Before game 3 of the Knicks series I decided to wear my novelty t shirt that has Trae looking in a mirror and seeing a goat in the reflection. My wife wore a red Hawks t shirt. Hawks won and I decided I would not only wear the same shirt for the next game, but I wouldn't wash it in between. Told my wife she also can not wash her shirt. She was not too happy about that, but complied. So here we are 2 weeks later and neither shirt has been washed. Looking forward to putting the shirt back on tonight and hopefully not washing it for several weeks.

 you'd better not wash that shirt. Put it on a chair in the sun between games, it'll be alright.

Sunday it was so nice up here in Chicago my wife decided to do some gardening during the first half. I looked out the window and noticed she had taken her shirt off and was just wearing her bikini top. I immediately went outside and yelled at her to put her shirt back on. We compromised and she rolled it up and tucked it into her shorts so it was at least touching her.

If they win today I'll have a real test though. By some weird coincidence I am going to Philly this weekend for a hockey reunion. We are eating at one of my buddies country club Friday night. Do I show up wearing a novelty tshirt that hasn't been washed in 3 weeks? That might be going a little too far. maybe I'll wear it under something...

It'll be also interesting because Philly fans are notorious for being rough on other fans and the only facemasks I own are ATL facemasks of some kind. Assuming I have to wear a mask in Philly at some places it'll be interesting to see the reception I get.

Your wife is a gamer, lol.
Whatever you do, you wear that shirt. Here's a lil trick - when you pack that shirt, put it in a ziploc with some dryer sheets until game day. It'll smell right as rain for game day.
Oh...and wear you Hawks mask with pride, just make sure you pack your running shoes to run from the angry mob when we pummel them. :D

Don't wash it! :D
But if Hawks reach the NBA Finals and you both decide to buy a ticket and wear your shirts, explain that to Hawks organization first and you may get a private suite for free, for superstition and crowd health reasons

Philly's comeback at the end of G1 may have something to do with that. I think the Hawks will navigate the trap better than they did the last 4 minutes of the game - their youth really showed. The lack of timeout really limited their effectiveness to beat the trap. Nate will have them ready.

If they take Ben off of Collins and put him on Trae, then Collins has to get excited and think to himself, 'ok this is my turn to get 30-40pts!!!'

This also means that Hunter and Huerter can feast on Seth.

Harris was on Collins mostly IIRC.

What a punk a** response. And, to be clear, I'm not calling Simm_ns a punk. I'm saying the tone of his statement is real cop-out-ish.

"Bwah, if they let me foul him, then I can guard him."

Really?

It is a punk statements because BS saying I want to be 'physical' on Trae and I don't want the refs to call fouls. So BS admits he is going to foul Trae and he doesn't want the refs to call it.

It's gonna be a whistle-fest tonight
Doc Rivers and Ben Simmons didn’t like the way the Sixers' Game 1 loss to the Hawks was officiated Sunday. Chances are they’re really not going to like how Game 2 will be.

The crew chief for Game 2 against the Hawks is Scott Foster, a 27-year veteran official. He does not have the most sterling reputation among NBA players.

Five years ago, the L.A. Times conducted an anonymous survey with nearly three dozen NBA players, asking their opinion on the best, and worst NBA referees.

Foster received 24 votes for worst referee, 10 more than the next worst, in the opinion of the players. More than 2/3 of the players surveyed thought Foster was not just subpar, but the worst in the game.

Here are some of the players’ anonymous thoughts on Foster:

“He had one of our playoff games and as soon as he walked in, I was like, ‘This game is over.’ We all knew we were going to get bad calls, and we did. You couldn’t say anything to him. Hell, I don’t think you could even look at him.”

“You can’t talk to him. He’s never wrong. I like refs where they say, ‘You know what, I made a mistake. I saw it at halftime. You were right.’ But Scott Foster thinks he never makes a mistake.”

It's like saying, "I would try to get to the free-throw line if they just gave me a point instead of making me actually sink the shots."
