I'm finding that younger fans, for some bizarre reason, seem to like that abomination of a jersey. I wouldn't mind of the "rebrand" is the team going back to the bad boys logo, and uniforms.

I dont want to see another boring rendition of the 90s red, white, and blue color scheme

the teal is iconic and can be done tastefully, ive seen tons of good concepts but these ones stood out on a quick search

I would take the color scheme of the first picture (darker teal) and combine the logo (with Detroit in a circle underneath) and number design of the second jersey which looks too much like an ape of the Miami Heat South Beach alternate

This would at least help our team stand out against all the teams primarily using red/blue - only the hornets would be close

it's probably way too late to do a rebrand but would be a nice way to just leave the recent stale jersey designs behind as we start a new chapter

Might I ask why? I see this a lot, mostly from the younger generation clamoring for the return of teal. I guess I understand them not having memories of the classic look being associated with anything other than the failures of the 2010s, but the Pistons entire identity is tied to the red, white, and blue, going back 40+ years to ~1980, encompassing both the Bad Boys and Goin' To Work teams. I just can't wrap my head around the desire to move away from that. You wouldn't expect the Celtics, Lakers, or Bulls to change their look, would you? In my mind, the Pistons are on the same level as those teams.

With that being said, the alternates over the past decade have been atrocious. I can't for the life of me understand why the Pistons keep insisting on terrible gray "Chrome" jerseys over the red alternates that looked great and fit the team so well in the past. The whole Motor City shtick has been played out for quite some time, too.

In regards to OP's question, the Motor City jersey will be a new design this upcoming season, as it is every year per the terms of the league's apparel deal with Nike. Other than that, I wouldn't expect any changes, nor should the classic white or blue be changed IMO. The gray - yes, absolutely; but like I said it looks like someone in the Pistons' Marketing or Design teams wants to keep it around for some unknown reason.

I actually like our colors, wouldn't mind a new teal alternate or something but not as a primary color.

The Celtics, Lakers, and Bulls have found good ways to remix their jerseys and Logo/color scheme over time.

Bulls have the pinstripes, and numerous variations of jerseys, and have touched up the bull.

Lakers have done different tweaks with the logo, added white, black, blue, altered the shade of purple and yellow.

Celtics have altered their green, added black jerseys, the shamrock jerseys, etc.

All of our alternatives have been terrible. Our uniforms are vanilla as hell, and those teams have been successful lately.

Let the youngsters form their own identity, new logo, color scheme. We will still honor our roots as well

Not sure why, but I am kind of hoping Cade takes #33. Would be interesting to see another young superstar in Detroit with #33.

I was 11 years old when we drafted Grant Hill it was those teal years that I really feel in love with basketball and playing the Pistons. I had the teal #33 jersey, went to my first Pistons games, drank the Sprite, wore the Filas. There is strangely a bit of nostalgia for that era even though we weren't very good. Grant, Hunter, Terry Mills, Ratliff.

So you're talking about alternate jerseys? OK, I can agree with the need for changes there. Not on the classic home and road, though.

FWIW, Rod Beard put out an article a few years ago that all but confirmed the teals will be a classic edition jersey for the 2022-2023 season (basically that means it will be used a throwback jersey a number of times throughout the season).

The chrome jersey is a homage to the silver home jerseys the Pistons wore at the Silverdome back in the early eighties.

I own a silver Mitchell &Ness rookie Isiah jersey that is fly as eff so no one can tell me the chrome sucks, although I do think making the numbers and letters red instead of blue would be a vast improvement.

Just my 2 cents.
