Hoping he’s the #8 pick.

This is what I am hoping for.

I go Kuminga, Suggs or Barnes at five.

Then one of that group, Bouknight or Moody is available at 8.

Realistically ideal: Suggs
Consensus 4 go as planned: Bouknight
Media consensus, meh: Kuminga
Fire the FO: Barnes

I believe these are the only realistic scenarios at this point if they don’t trade up or back.

5th pick, no. There should be 3-4 better players available at that time.

8th pick, maybe.

Moody is someone I'd consider at #8.

Moody is not on anyone’s radar at #5.

He is a backup plan for me at #8.

I have Moody as my No. 9 overall prospect.

Behind Cunningham, Suggs, Green, Mobley, Barnes, Sengun, Kuminga and Wagner. So all of them.

Why Wagner? He is old and the definition of whelming.

why would we take him at 5 when theres a 99% chance he will be there at 8, and if he ISNT, then someone fell

the top 6 are pretty much set (cade, gree, suggs, mobley, kuminga, barnes), that means that he MIGHT get taken at 7, but realistically probably not.

We are in no position to reach for a role player. We need to take the highest upside player at 5. Believe me, im a huge Moody fan and hope we do take him at 8, but we cant just take him at 5 because we're scared.

He's actually extremely young for his class. Still 19 years old even though he's a college sophomore.

To compare, Bouknight is more than full year older despite being in the same class.

Wagner is 26 days *younger* than Scottie Barnes and has almost 3x as much college basketball experience (1718 minutes to 595).

I would rather have Wagner over Barnes.

Moody will be there at #8. There are better prospects ahead of him at #5.
