9. SAC - Franz Wagner (33%)
10. NO - Moses Moody (36%)
11. CHA -Alperen Sengun (43%)

Jalen Johnson is the anti-Spurs pick. He’s exactly the opposite of the kind of player they ever draft.

Spurs need a pf/c so Kai or Usman
Jalen is a very interesting pick though

Garuba. This guy is super underrated. We might see him fall out of the lottery if the Spurs don't take him here. Great defender and all around player with excellent length. Has the right attitude to succeed. I think he has top 10 potential easily. Usman Garuba = a young Pascal Siakam.

For me, Jalen Johnson is a no brainer. High IQ, amazing size, defensive potential, shooting potential..
I just dont know howhe goes below a guy like Sengun who is a stiff and will likely never be able to defend the pick and roll

Johnson has the potential to positively impact the game for every team.

Giddey could be an offensive force but i dont trust his shooting or defending and see his comps guys like Nick Calathes or MCW who was basically out of the NBA a couple years after winning ROY

Aside from the international aspect, Giddey seems like a spurs player. Good play maker, system player. Not high ceiling due to low athleticism and suspect shooting but high floor due to his iq and understanding of the game.
I could easily see the Spurs improving his shooting to a serviceable level, could be a Bogdonavic/Ingles type player.

Yeah Giddey just seems like the type of guy Spurs go for. Garuba too

It’s gonna be interesting to see if any trade happens with the Spurs with the rumor of them being open to deal Murray and White. I wonder if they’re targeting a guy a bit higher than their range like Bouknight

Giddey has not workout for the Spurs, correct?
I cannot find Giddey worked out with the Spurs, so I would like anyone who voted for Giddey to see if they can provide that reference.

It seems he has no workout. I don't think the reason is being with the Australia team, but his skill set in playmaking are harder to display on an individual workout, I guess.

Jalen Johnson @12 would be a steal for them but I believe they take Kai Jones cause they need a PF/C.

I honestly don't see them selecting Giddy because of the logjam they've got on guards. I still think they take a forward.

how exactly has his stock dropped so much? Is it just the character issues?

Yeah, that’s pretty much it I think. Coach K has a lot of NBA pull.

After Jakob, they don't really have anyone. Dieng is expiring and I don't believe he'll get a new contract since I think they're going to go younger for their roster. I think Kai Jones can also possibly play the 4 or they may take J. Johnson to replace Demar and his role.

I think we can guarantee Spurs aren't drafting for need. Very few teams do and the smart ones never do.
The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.
The bad thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.
