So smooth. Probably the most excited I've been about a player since Zach. Can you imagine Zach and Edwards?

Jalen Johnson looks way better than the brick bros Kuminga and Barnes. I wish Rosas traded to get pick 20 to get him, oh well atlanta got a good one.

Right now he is streaky but he is a scorer and he looks like he has put more energy into his defense which is very positive. If Nowell does eliminate a lot of his streakiness and can be consistent. reliable scorer, then he can surpass Beasley because he has more tools than Beasley does.

It's pretty hard to develop the tools Nowell is working with but I think we should keep him around. He had some major flashes last season and the potential is there. A guard who can create, shoot off the dribble, and be average on defense, is a rare commodity. So he hasn't blown me away but I am still interested in developing him.

I think he wants to be really good and that alone is worth banking on.

Stylistically they’re very similar. Unconscious gunners without much else.

But that’s got value, so I agree that he’s worth developing. But I also agree that he doesn’t seem like much of a combo guard let alone point.

Makes me hope they get a deal with JMac done.

I think that is a very fair synopsis. I like him more than you though. Consistency is his major issue but that's difficult with his spotty minutes and past poor coaching and scheme. I think he has real skill to be a very good player.

It's a make or break year for both Nowell and Culver. Both are close to breaking out I'm thinking. Yes, Culver too.

I'm very impressed that he never misses a shot. If he can do that when the games are for real we have a superstar.

If Vando is in Miami, he's agreed to a contract. I can't believe any agent would let him client play in a pick-up games without a deal.

Today's presser: (Beverley / Bolmaro / Vanderbilt / McLaughlin)
