This guy is an incredibly smart player on both ends, he also has excellent hands and touch(66% near the rim). Kinda short 6'8" with not a great wingspan, but he is stocky with a very low center of gravity, so its hard to move him off his spot.

his shooting mechanics look nice, so i think he will become a decent shooter in time. Really like this pick as a do it all glue guy. A better Isaiah Roby.

I don't think the value was equal in the trade to get JRE, however for what it's worth, he'll be putting pressure on the other young guys to make an impact --- he and Baze, Roby, and Giddey are all about the same size, and you can actually envision all four playing heavy minutes on the court, too.

Listened to LockedON thunder today and another show’s co host (who is usually pretty critical of the thunder) was on discussing the draft. He loves JRR and described him as the least mistake prone player in the draft. Also, mentioned that Jay Bilas said he was 5e best pick and roll defender in the country last year. Also, the host was very high on Mann and had him and number 11 on his board.

Fair or unfair this entire draft class comes down to giddey. If he's not in the hall of very good at least then it's not going to matter if Mann and JRE become solid rotation pieces.

After a few games of SL I can agree vs. this level of competition he's fundamentally solid -- I think he's going to carve out a better role than we expect, like a more skilled Collison. His defense doesn't seem sub-par, so I'm actually happy we got this guy, even if I said the value was a little low to trade for it. I just have a feeling he would have been available when OKC picked. Bilas watches a ton of College ball so he's pretty well versed, and a lot more than I am on players, I have to trust the guy until further notice.
