Good backup for Capela. Does much of the same things just lesser.

He's the ideal 3rd center, but he doesn't rebound, block shots like Capela. Probably close to Fernando in those areas including mobility.

Looking forward to seeing Dieng hit around .400 from three and 80% from the line. He'll need to touch those percentages cause he's very low usage like Snell.

:D

Solid, experienced center. He is what Atlanta needed. For many years, Hawk fans have said, "We are a pretty good team but we really need to improve on our PG and center positions. Well, those days are in our rear view mirror. We have a very good center. We have a great rookie, currently recovering from surgery and now we have added Dieng. Cooper will be in the G League, pushing all the right buttons to climb up to back up PG.

Some don't believe that Atlanta is as good as they showed in last season's playoffs. Some believe that we will just slip into the playoffs this upcoming season. Hawk fans expect their team to be fighting for first place in the east, not a play in position. The addition of Dieng sets well with us. Casual NBA fans have forgotten. But, we believe!
