How washed is milsap?

Post#1 » by Prokorov » Fri Sep 3, 2021 4:21 am

Greetings...

Was wondering your thoughts on milsap, what he has left, what we can expect. I know as recent as 2 years ago he was solid, but seemed to fall off a cliff last season. He should be in a battle to find minutes behind KD with James Johnson here and Blake maybe spending some time at PF if/when LMA signs.

On a related note, you will like Green. great guy, great teammate. Offensively he has alot left. he was dunking on people like prime vince, and had his best season from three. Defensively he wont give you much. He was our worst defender (on a team with Harden and Deandre). But he plays hard and doesnt take dumb fouls which helps a bit on that end

Millsap is slowing down. He still has his great defensive instincts but his speed to get there is waning. His offense is also slowing/leaving him, particularly his baseline fade away jumper. All of his moves are slowing down. These days, he is forced to rely more on his experience rather than his previous level of skill. There will be times when you see a throw back to his former self but it won't last.
Canned in Denver.

I'd agree - slowing but still good. Anticipates well I think you'll love him as long as he plays limited minutes. IMO He's good fit for you.

Eh, imo that's more like in the bubble and maybe first part of 2021, slowing but still good, the rest of 2021 just slow, not much of a factor.
