Ya know, the Lakers made some moves this offseason. Might want to check their roster. I don't think any of those reserves are there. They traded almost all their decent depth for Westbrook (KCP, Kuzma, Harrell) and let Schroder, Caruso and Morris go. So they did have two nice 3&D guards shooting 40% from 3 to play with LeBron and AD and now they have Westbrook and I am not sure who else even starts. Drummond gone too and they have Howard back.

Sorry, I copied and pasted the game thread from last years playoffs and forgot to edit the correct roster. As you could tell the date/time was updated but eveything else was not. :(

As for the Lakers they've had a couple dozen new players on their roster ever since Lebron came into town 3 years ago. Although, I believe the previous vets from 2019 were a much better fit and equipped to win a title over this new squad. Even though it's still fairly early to speculate, but I believe the Lakers wont reach the WCF this season again.

Lakers have to have one of the ugliest offenses in the league, minus Lebron hitting some nice shots from time to time.

Lebron-ball was entertaining in his prime, not so much in these last years. They probably spam AD a ton to make up for the injured series against us, I expect him to go for 35/10 or something like that.

Booker needs to play better, period.

I'd take going 1-2 from the first 3.

Paul and Booker have barely touched a ball the past couple months, Ayton has had a challenging week, short off-season, possible finals hangover just have to avoid getting into a hole and having to chase.

Guys like Bridges, Johnson, Shamet who are young and have been in the gym uninterrupted should be looking to take up more of the load.

It will be hard not to play hard in a game where Westbrook plays because that guy's motor is at 100% all the time (except on D).

Wish the Lakers had won against GS as they will probably come out playing hard not to bury to incur another loss to begin the season. That being said, Booker is bound to play better than last game and I see us winning this one. **** the Lakers!

It took until May 9 last season for us to lose 2 games in regulation within 3 days.

Yeah, I always like playing a team not as desperate for a win...they will also have the motivation of us knocking them out last year. LeBron will NOT want to lose this one.

Warriors on top of the division, sweeping the LA teams. I was trying to decide who to pull for last night as the Warriors are kind of easier to pull for now that they have been not great, but I then thought I should be pulling for the Clips because if the Warriors get off to a hot start and Klay comes back and looks good, watch out. They also are missing Wiseman and at least one of their high drafted rookies.

If Suns don't win this game it's over. Might as well trade the entire team and rebuild preferably around Ish Wainright.

On a serious note, I am still on the fence about going to the Blazers Suns game tomorrow night, wanted to sit behind the bench wearing my new USA Booker jersey. The dilemma is I need a new couch that doesn't smell like dog pee and I'm throwing a somewhat decent size Halloween party next Friday. Suns game or new couch, can't decide.

*edit* my decision just became a lot easier after seeing the tickets I wanted at $774 each as opposed to what they were a few weeks ago at $500 a piece. With the fee added on top, that's an easy $2k for these seats, don't think it's happening.

I could get Row A behind the bench and those come out to $1125, but that's not the same as Row CC... I'll talk to the GF and we'll make a decision after the Suns Lakers game maybe.

Remember we lost the first 3 games by 90 points or something not long ago.

Really good test for us against Denver, Lakers, Portland who will be our competition for seeding.

Yeah but I think expectations has risen since then. Losing by 15 on our home court is not the way to start the season especially considering they lost 4 straight to end the season.

Well, 4 straight in the 2nd round of the playoffs with Campuzzo and Rivers as your starting guards and an injured Porter was a different team than we played. But we played terribly and Booker uncharacteristically shot like 20% so that's unlikely to happen again.

I have Westbrook on my fantasy team and because I don't have enough space for all players he's on my bench tonight.

That's how much I don't believe in Lakers. They don't have their sh*t together at all. This is a must win.

I was just browsing the box scores...I'm in a roto league and I noticed Horford has 5 blocks which is a ton for a night in roto for your season, but I have him in an injury slot because he was out due to COVID.
