Home opener.

I'll take another ugly looking win here...

Mavs need to pounce on the Rockets early. Give confidence to KPJ and/or Green and this will be an unnecessary long night.

From NBA.com

Kristaps Porzingis didn’t have a big role in the comeback and shot just 11-for-33 over the two games. The Mavs have scored just 70 points on 94 offensive possessions (74 per 100) with both Doncic and Porzingis on the floor, but 83 points on just 63 possessions (132 per 100) with Doncic on the floor without Porzingis. It’s a small sample size and Porzingis isn’t the only Mavs player who hasn’t shot well in those both-on-the-floor minutes, but it’s not a good start for the big guy.

This is something that's going to be so interesting to watch here. If Kidd continues to force KP to almost be a primary option on offense or will they ride heavy with Luka. Hopefully THJ can continue his great shooting form aswell. And please no Brunson 1v5's because my brain will melt even more watching this BS.

Is Luka going to have to average 10rpg all season or is a teammate going to step up?

I wouldn't read much into it, his shot isn't falling, and the offense was a mess, but defensively he's been great.

Yeah i agree with you. But on the other hand, he has been also very bad in the post. He got blocked couple of times and has no real backing power to bully people. But yeah, i hope his 3pt shot comes back sooner than later. And defensive effort is much better so far.

Yeah, he's easily stripped when trying to dribble, and can't back people down, his post ups should be quick turn arounds.
He should be used as a finisher (pop or roll, cutter, and mid range shooter), or quick post ups for turn around jumpers, but he still can be legit offensive threat this way.

Dunno about this one. Feels like young teams always give the Mavs trouble especially when the Mavs start slow.

I don't know why Kidd isn't matching Bullocks mins with Luka. Seems like it would be the ideal fit.

Porzingis still sucks ass.

Can’t believe our idiot front office stuck with him and hired Kidd. What a nightmare offseason

I guess they'll end up winning this, but they are still playing bad.

If things keeps going like that Luka is going to be below .500 TS% after 3 games. His efficiency is atrocious to start the year.

The fact that Burke AND Luka were on the floor at the same time again, just makes me wonder, what the hell is Kidd trying to do with this offense? At least he figured out it's better if they run a lot of PnR's, but you still can't play Burke over Bullock lol...

You can blame a dozen others before you pin this garbage performance on Luka.

Kidd, Porzingis, and Powell are completely worthless and Stephen Silas knows that as well as anyone

Yeah his 3s suck at the moment. FTs are better though. Probably needs more games to get into a rhythm.

Btw they probably need to post Luka more and go to KP less unless he's cutting or in the pnr.
