Kevin Durant: Of Course We Have Enough Without Kyrie Irving

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Oct 25, 2021 2:41 am

The Brooklyn Nets fell to 1-2 with a 111-95 loss at home against the Charlotte Hornets.

Kevin Durant was asked twice if he thinks the Nets have enough to win without Kyrie Irving.

"While we are playing in a game, I am not going to sit there and say ... when we get down or it is a tight game, like 'Damn, we don't have enough,'" Durant said. "We are not going to be thinking about [that] during the game. We definitely want Kyrie Irving out here on the floor. And he is a huge part of what we do. But it is not happening right now. So we got to figure it out.

"But no one is going to lose confidence while we playing and hope Kyrie comes to save us during the game. No, we got to play. Everybody here is confident in what they do. We just got to play."

Brooklyn was outscored 32-17 in the fourth quarter.

"Yeah," Durant repeatedly answered when asked if the Nets have enough to win. "I am not about to say there's not going to [be] enough out here. I am not going to say that. I feel like we had a nice control of the game in the first half. They played a better second half.

"It's three games in. Of course we have enough."

Do you guys get off taking Durant's quote out of context? He didn't actually say "Of course we have enough without Kyrie Irving."

I get it, the people who run this site have the generic leftist agenda that most media outlets have, so there is currently a vendetta against Irving the shill. That doesn't give you the right to essentially make stuff up.

Don't worry, Irving will eventually get your precious pharmaceutical potion. He just needs to larp like he's on our side first to make us all look dumb in the process, since he has already been classed as the village idiot in the past. No need to be salty little babies, he's actually on your side.

Mark my words. He will take it 100%.

LOL. yes, it is definitely twisting KD's words but it's not because of some leftist agenda but because it is clickbait. People love controversy between stars. It isn't always political just like in your head.

He didn't say we have enough. He didn't even impy it.

He gave you a lot of sentences so you couldn't mistake what he meant. And you delibrately twisted it for drama. Sad.

So do you believe Kevin Durant thinks they don't have enough without Kyrie Irving? It would appear to me that he thinks they do have enough without them, but apparently I misread.

Either way, in the world of taken sports quotes out of context, this seems incredibly benign to state his answer with the question he was answering.

It must be so weird being so deep in the echo chamber that you think this is politically motivated.

Not sure if serious....

I mean he literally said "It's three games in. Of course we have enough". The title of the article is a direct quote of Durant, combined with the question he answered with that direct quote.

Again, in the world of trying to find headlines, this is pretty benign stuff. It seems to me Durant clearly feels they have enough without Kyrie Irving.

You should try actually watching his interview, but then again you're the one actually trying to twist his words to fit your agenda, so that wouldn't be ideal.

Not exactly that this time.
Almost all media belongs to the leftists elites who run (present or past?) the world and our lives.
We'll see who is running the world in a few weeks or months.
Probably Kyrie will be one of the few to be healthy in this league.

Are you one of those QAnon wackos that think Republican officials in Arizona and Georgia rigged the election against Trump? Get over it. Trump lost "bigly".

Yes, that's why just a few people go to Biden's meetings and hundreds of thousand gather to get a glimpse of the former president.
If Biden won, then somebody else won. And it was not the US that won...
