First I understand that the Bucks owned us last year.

Well well. I really expected a better effort and result tonight considering the Bucks were missing integral parts
Portis
Holiday
DiVincenzo
Lopez

Kind of embarrassing that the Pacers couldn’t win this one.

Negatives

Brogdon was getting caught in the air too many times turning it over and forcing shots that weren’t horrible but I’d rather see him run the offense more and less 1 on 1 thinking he has to do it all.
I like under control team player Malcolm !

Myles again just couldn’t fit in the offensive end against the Bucks.

Torrey Craig 6 minutes against former team and Idk ??? Don’t blame his lack of minutes as I really thought he was more on Holiday’s talent level but not showing me anything.

Positives
Sabonis played hard and stats showed

Duarte learning that he’s a marked man but he’s not backing down and playing good

Goga actually played better than Turner while his shooting was not stellar his big body presence helped defensively against Giannis. Needs more minutes.

Brissett shooting was off but liked his hustle showed he should get minutes

McConnell and Lamb average games

In summary Pacers needed to slow down Giannis making him defer to others. I thought Middleton wasn’t slowed down enough either and Nwora, Allen, and Connaughton played well enough to give them the edge again.

Duarte is the long term 2 for the Pacers

Start figuring out what to do with LeVert

I was arguing against the Brogdan/Levert backcourt combination before we drafted Duarte so my agreement would be pretty predictable.

In addition to figuring out what to do with LeVert, I will go one step further and say Brogdon and Duarte don't seem to be great fits either, and I think the choice is Duarte over Brogdon

If Duarte continues to show promise, I think the team should move on from both LeVert and Brogdon and rebuild this roster with Duarte being a key piece going into next season

The start to the season doesn't look great when just minding the 1-3 record. But I actually think there is a lot of promise. Offense is looking good. Some pieces are being utilized better than in years past. Rookies look good. Defense looks improved from last year.

I think wins are gonna follow.
