Toronto trades: Malachi Flynn
Toronto receives: Armoni Brooks, 2022 IND 2nd, 2023 ORL 2nd, 2024 BRK 2nd, 2024 GSW 2nd (55-60 protected)
I'm relying on Prince Ali's evaluation of the Flynn situation that he has been displaced in Toronto's future plans by Banton. They flip him for a bunch of seconds, and I don't think there is a better organization in the league to take maximize them.
Houston trades: Armoni Brooks, 2024 BRK 2nd, 2024 GSW 2nd (55-60 protected), $5 million
Houston receives: Malachi Flynn
Houston gets a young point guard who was surprisingly competent when he started last season (15/4/6 on 39/37/80 shooting). Is he likely to be some amazing player? I think not, but I also don't think it's that much to be paying for a young point guard who can be on their team for a long time, and provide some playmaking and stability for their other young players (much in the same way that a guy like Tyus Jones might).
Orlando trades: 2022 IND 2nd, 2023 ORL 2nd
Orlando receives: $5 million
Totally playing off the idea that the Orlando front office does not value second round picks to turn cash into some extra value for a team that might value seconds. Orlando still keeps their own 2022 2nd, which is likely to be pretty high, but sells on a pick that won't be quite as good (Indy's) and a pick they'd at least hope wouldn't be as good in 2023.

I wouldn't sell both Indy's 2nd and ORL 23 second for 5 million, with the inflation that's going on
ORL has good case of being top 5 and Indy's top 10, these are good picks.

Defense wins draft lotteries!

I think HOU likes Armoni - a lot. True, he only ranks as a backup, but he seems to be a solid shooter and playmaker - at a cheap price long term.
Giving picks up for Flynn does not seem to fit the plan. He is not a good long term answer - and temporary measures are a waste of assets.
True, turnovers are an issue right now - but that is because they are trying Porter at pg. So far, he is a turnover machine but they have to give him minutes and see if he develops or flops at that position. If he develops, Porter/Green as a backcourt duo is scary. If not, then they have to find a way to get both of them their minutes. Personally, I think Porter is a very good sg - but may not cut it as a pg. Still, the young guys needs the minutes - and Houston could care less about the record - except hoping they lose for a high pick.
If Porter flops, maybe they would look at some of the higher recent 1sts that are buried or someone like that. But, only if Porter flops and he comes cheap with potential to be a quality starter long term.

Re: Malachi Flynn to Houston (w/ORL)
I'd try to swap House in for Brooks, I'm sure he has more value and can be flipped and makes less sense to stick around. But I'd do it. I'm not writing off KPJ as a player at all, but this full time PG thing is just making the game way harder for him and harder for everyone else, especially JG, having to play without a PG. I'm all the way out on him as a point guard
Based on feedback you could turn House into one of those seconds coming from the magic and cut the magic out. Then give that team cash for just one more second maybe?

I have no problem giving up House and cash. But, I still think minutes need to go to future core (including Armoni, Christopher and Porter at pg until they show they cannot handle it).
Lots of guys fit in the Flynn range (point guards young enough to still have potential but far enough into career that interest/potnetial is waning):
RJHampton
Pritchard
KLewis
House, cash and/or a 2nd may be value to bring one in - but no rush until current crew shows no improvement.
