Goga out tonight with a non-Covid illness. Brogdon missed those couple days with a “non-Covid illness” which he later stated was strep throat.

I'm uncomfortable. win with the 3. die with the 3.
edit: 3 McConnell drives as good as 2 made 3s.

Philly seems to be coming back down to earth after a hot start, but still a solid win.

They had Embiid and Thybulle out for health and safety protocols. I wouldn’t say they’re coming back down to earth, so much as they missed having one of the best players in the league (Embiid), and one of the best young wing defenders in the league (Thybulle).

Re: Game 14 vs Philadelphia 7pm
Missed first quarter plus but great to see that Justin H. was sizzling the twine from 3.
McConnell having a huge season of progression with his game. It’s like Doug McDermott leaving opened the door for TJ to be the cutter guy.
Playing off him at the 3 point line will eventually end but it’s beneficial for him and the team currently with him hitting more than at the first few games.
He seems more comfortable and confident with his drive and fade away jumpers. Might be because he feels a need to be more of the second team offense than last year as he was in the distribution and defense mode. He definitely looks to be working on his offensive game.
Whatever is fueling him be it better contract and fulfilling it, staying in Indiana, new coaching, or personal skills enhancement, I like it.
A few really good new things are happening for this team early in the season with McConnell, Myles offense aggression, and Kelan Martin starting to get run as Brissett did last year. I hope Kelan continues to earn bigger minutes because he’s a bigger guard and that comes in handy defensively and rebounding.
Still hoping Goga can do more than just small flashes, that Isaiah Jackson gets his injury past him and gains valuable experience in the G League, and Brissett sharpens his game daily in practice.
