Is Jokic the most skilled Offensive Center of alltime?

Post#1 » by SerialChiller » Sat Nov 20, 2021 12:56 am

Watching the Joker is truley amazing. Hes not an overwhelming athlete like Wilt, and while strong hes not a beast like Shaq. And while others have been very skilled (Kareem, Hakeem, Duncan if considered a 5, etc)...his passing, dribbling, plus 3pt shooting, ontop of work in the post hes just a complete offensive machine.

Yup. Jokic fanboys have to fill that RealGM GB “at least 5 Jokic threads on the first page” quota.

You guys have been slacking off lately. Tighten it up.

Not a Jokic fanboy im actually a Heat fan who has no reason to like him especially after that recent incident. Sorry if this thread is a repeat of one i missed or something...but damn is his game impressive i cant ignore that.

He's good and all and I'll give him that but I wonder how good he would be if they called that chicken wing elbow throws on just about every post move.

Going to go with Walton. Only a bad wheel could stop him.

Right, now there's an argument to be made. Every offensive metric pegs him as an all-time great.

Five more seasons of play at this level and the answer will be an unequivocal yes.

My prognosis are coming true, Jokic is about to miss week or two or more because of sprained wrist , Denver is about to dip down in the Western Conference and it will be hard for them to catch up, Denver is pathetic without him.

Biggest hater around... They gave him the night off to rest because it was going to be a big struggle no matter what. Denver without their 3 best players isn't good? Weird... Why do you even claim to be a fan of the team? Nugs just need to hold in the top 6 until Murray returns.

As for Jok's skills... They speak for themselves. His career will most likely be in the conversations for best Center ever and it's hard to say otherwise. Dude is playing on another level intellectually than almost anyone else in the game right now and that's inarguable.

He is injured, with him they would have beaten Bulls tonight , he's about to miss extended playing time, it wasn't the night off, he never take those . Denver doesn't have depth, they have bunch of undersized players on the perimeter that are inconsistent , Denver FO is doing the lousy job season after season. Also their medical stuff, trainers etc. must suck too, there are always bunch of players missing lots of games every season, this Denver team was never fully healthy since Jokic was drafted.

Pre back injury Sabonis was better on both ends.

Here we go again , mythical pre injury Sabonis  I don't think Jokic is the greatest offensive center of all time, but these Sabonis fables are so annoying.

Follow another team then if you think they suck! No NBA team is ever fully healthy. Maybe you should watch sports and see what happens with every team. Players are always injured. Its what happens when you play games. Literally its fairly well known around Denver he was sat out tonight because they were going to have a tough game after the back to back and they need to rest him.

Denver's FO is doing a lousy job season after season? Are you kidding me? Most teams would love to have the drafts we have and make the moves we do. You're one of the most uninformed, ignorant posters I have ever seen on here. This front office has found so many quality players its stupid... I don't know how little you have paid attention to the league or if you're completely blind, but its crazy how ignorant you are so much of the time. The year is full of up and downs. To always go full-blown hate on the organization is so ridiculously out of scope with how the rest of the league feels about the Nuggets organization is just so short-sighted and ridiculous, it's not even funny. It should be embarrassing.

The Nuggets have bred nothing but success since Kroenke has taken over. Be it Ujiri, Connelly, or Booth, the Nuggets have been a breeding ground for successful management and coaches if you want to look at Wes Unseld Jr. now and Mike Malone.

I don't get your love/hate relationship, but constantly talking **** about the organization continues to make you look uneducated and so emotional it's foolish at the end of the day.

I mean for sure. It's not even really just center. All things considered, he's one of the most skilled players I've ever seen. I really don't see a scenario where he's not All-NBA 1st team for the next 5 or 6 years straight if he's healthy. This guy will be a top 15 player ever.

Nobody is even in the ballpark, and we're only 6 years in. 15 years from now we'll be talking about him as the GOAT.

The best? I'm not sure, it's between him, Kareem and Shaq (and outside chances for Wilt).

The most skilled? For sure, no center had the combination of his shooting touch, passing and scoring repertoire.
