Bob Iger Interested In Purchasing Suns

Bob Iger has told multiple friends that he'd like to lead a bid to purchase the Phoenix Suns should it become available. 

The future of the Suns' ownership is in doubt as the NBA investigates allegations of workplace misconduct under Robert Sarver. The league's investigation is expected to last several more months. If the investigation doesn't uncover additional misconduct under Sarver, most NBA people believe he won't be forced to sell.

Iger is close with Adam Silver after many years of Disney's ABC/ESPN partnership with the NBA.

The Suns have been valued at $1.7 billion and would likely sell for more than $2 billion.

Iger will leave his post at Disney early in 2022.
