Do the Nets have a "Yoko Ono" problem?

Post#1 » by Whiskey Slick » Sat Dec 4, 2021 6:38 am

I was curious so I did a search and it turns out Kyrie's GF has her own YouTube page. I could post the link and wouldn't be doxxing her or anything like that, because the page is public, not private, but still I just don't feel comfortable going there. Same with posting her name. I suspect most of you know it already anyway, you're probably familiar with her page too, but again I'm just not comfortable with posting either, but Kyrie appears in some of her videos and I will share my impressions.

IMO she's a bit of a new age head-case and Kyrie seems totally whipped, and while the vaccine is never discussed in her video's, she's so obsessed with "natural this" and "natural that", to such a degree that it would drive most people crazy if they weren't as whipped as Kyrie seems, that it wouldn't surprise me if she played a role in his reluctance to be vaxed, even at the expense of never playing for the Nets again if the alternative is being vaxed.

I also suspect that she played a big part in his disappearing and missing so many games last year.

She just seems controlling and needy like that, but I digress and back to the vaccine ...

It's NEVER SAID, but that's just the impression I got from watching her NATURAL "fitness and wellness" videos.

BTW it was NEVER publicly stated that Yoko Ono encouraged John Lennon to leave the Beatles, but most people who read between the lines believed she was the one who encouraged John to call it quits ... and recently Paul McCartney flat-out admitted peoples instincts were right, that it was Yoko who told John to quit the Beatles.

To be clear ... I have no evidence to prove it ... ZERO ... but my gut tell me the Nets have their own Yoko Ono.

It reminds me of Mike Tyson and Robin Givens.

Like Robin, this girl seems quite sophisticated and (like Mike) Kyrie seems quite impressed.

As for the money lost, the girl seems delusional and sincerely believes she was on her way to becoming a millionaire, without Kyrie, and still is, with her products line that she sells.

The odds are a billion to one, but she seems to believe it.

This reads like you're just trying to find a way to blame a woman.

Kyrie is his own man and objectively one of the most powerful people in the U.S. If he chooses to follow his partner, that's on him.

Blaming his GF is weird because this is all 1000% on brand for Kyrie. Its not like he's acting out of character.

I mean we all have friends who have been taken in by conspiracy theories. The alternative lifestyle, health and wellness, hippy dippy free love communities have been astroturfed by this garbage in the social media age. Let's be real, Kyrie is way susceptible to anti-vax rhetoric and doesn't need to be yoko'd (although I'm sure it doesn't help).

This. I know multiple people who are unvaccinated and believe in conspiracy theories. Many of them are like brothers to me. I love them dearly.

And yet, they can all count on one hand the amount of times they have seen me since April of 2020. I'm not f*cking with them because I'm not a kook who thinks the earth is flat because some chucklef*ck on YouTube said so. I subscribe to science and reality. Vaccines are a time proven method of combating viruses. I'm not letting their ignorance put me and my family's health at risk.

Kyrie is his own man. We don't need to single out his girlfriend and blame her for the fact that he's a moron who thinks he's smarter than everyone else. He was already like this before he ever met her.

1) Kyrie is his own person. its his own choice, even if someone else influences him, his choices are on him.

2) There is nothing to blame anyone for. Kyrie has done absolutely nothing wrong.

Late reply, but I checked out her YT intro video, then looked at her playlist "How I Stay Fit," and am looking at her "How I Take Holistic Herbs" video right now.

Whiskey Slick wrote:IMO she's a bit of a new age head-case and Kyrie seems totally whipped, and while the vaccine is never discussed in her video's, she's so obsessed with "natural this" and "natural that", to such a degree that it would drive most people crazy if they weren't as whipped as Kyrie seems...

I'm really not seeing anything remotely like you describe. On the contrary, she seems quite sharp and on-point, whether she's talking about how she succeeded out of college (living in Compton with her mom), what her fashion and hair tips are, French verb conjugations (bien sur!), and stuff like that.

And then in the herbal video, everything she says is accurate AFAIK, and I note that she's particularly well-spoken and well-researched about it all.

If you think she sounds toxic, deranged and/or manipulative, you clearly haven't watched many influencers on YT. In fact (not that I know her), I could easily see her as the level-headed one, frustrated by Kyrie's stance, but willing to stand by her man. I also note that she did graduate Cal State with a degree in Business Marketing, and created a successful business well before meeting Kyrie.

On the contrary, it was stated literally thousands of times that Yoko split up the group, which was always incorrect as a single factor. If you want to learn more, you might start here:

Bravo, great topic.

Well written and researched, entertaining, and just crazy enough to be true.

So I was curious and I checked out her YouTube channel. She's quite beautiful, and you actually do see Kyrie in some of her videos.

That being said, nothing I saw there leads me to believe that she's the reason why Kyrie has gone off the rails and it frankly unfair to pin a grown man's behavior on her. He was already like this before she was in the picture.

I don't see stuff about alien conspiracies to steal Black people's souls via the vaccine or whatever horsesh*t Kyrie believes. Just stuff about being an expecting mother and natural childbirth. Pretty harmless.

Kyrie is responsible for his behaviors and decisions, not his partner.

She's quite an impressive young woman to me. Poised, well-spoken and well-researched.

She also sticks to what she's knowledgeable on (a highly-underrated trait), and there's just no evidence in the couple of videos I watched to support her being the type to jump to conclusions, conspiracies or weak theories. Yup, she's also beautiful, but as a person, I'm thinking Kyrie is very lucky to have a bright, rational person as she seems to be, and not just a pleasant looker.

So yeah, it's definitely unfair to call her a person who's 'out there' with the craziness, and a bad influence on Kyrie. Similar with the "Yoko" situation, really. I'm actually watching the 7.5hr Get Back docu right now, and it's -immensely- obvious the band was on fumes from at least the year before, and arguably since their manager OD'd in '67. It's also well-documented that the fan & media scrutiny got to be too much for them around the mid-60's, when they had to give up playing in front of live audiences, which even just as a part-time musician myself, I can tell you sucks for most performers.

Please do your research better next time, Whiskey Slick. Because not knowing what you're talking about ("I've got a feeling...") and using that presumption to vilify people just ain't the way.

Just a vibe I was getting. I never hungout with people who are into the natural lifestyle or would use a mid-wife for a natural home birth. I admit to me that stuff seems weird and I made a leap to the anti-vax mentality, ADMITTING I had no proof and nothing was mentioned about it in the videos. I ADMITTED that at the outset and said it was just a vibe I was getting, but I definitely could be wrong. I agree that ultimately it was Kyrie's decision to quit on the team rather than take the vaccine.

what is weird about a mid-wife and or a home birth? both are super common.

Yeah that's what I was saying. That's pretty normal stuff. Some women don't want to get epidural injections that come with hospital child birth, and frankly as a man it is none of my business regardless.

Kyrie owns 100% of his decision making here.

According to Shams on wiretap, there's renewed optimism that Kyrie will play for the Nets. KD has been in costant communication with him. I don't think it's a coincidence that the story is coming up either, somehow I feel based on last week's Kenny Smith prediction of him coming back and SAS bringing up the story that if he does come back, it changes everything for the league, I feel like sources told them to leak that stuff out purposely. Hopes up or not, I will keep it up and I think he with Shams reporting it, something will go down this month or next.

Can we lock this thread? it was speculative negativity towards Kyrie's baby momma, not kyrie and it seems inaccurate.

for kyrie hate/news we can go to the kyrie thread. keeping this one going is a bad look imo.

Return to Brooklyn Nets
