GT #24: Bullets @ Raptors 6 PM (NBCSW/106.7 FM) [12/5/21]

Post#1 » by FAH1223 » Sat Dec 4, 2021 9:30 pm

YOUR Washington Bullets are 14-9 AND coming off probably the worst loss of the season!

Friday night saw the surging Cavs and their huge lineups dominate the Bullets, establishing a 36 point advantage in the 3rd quarter. Yours truly along was at the game and I was disgusted. The Bullets are only 4-6 in their last 10 with shaky offense and now leaky defensive performances. With a road-heavy schedule in December, losing games at Capitol One Arena are gut punches to a team that has little room for error.

Washington makes its final international trip of the season north of the border to Toronto. As we all remember, the Bullets had a resounding win on opening night against the Raptors. The Raps, led by Fred Van Vleet got a dub in DC a few weeks later. Toronto is coming off a victory against the Giannis-less Bucks on Thursday night. The Raps are 10-13 and only 3-7 in their last 10 games.

OG Anunoby, Khem Birch and Goran Dragic have all been ruled out. The Bullets are healthy with Bryant and Hachimura continuing to be out.

Will Spencer Dinwiddie be more aggressive as Wes Unseld Jr. has now openly mused about?

Will the defense be better in TDot?

Will Bradley Beal continue to dribble off his foot and committ 4+ turnovers in this one?

Will Van Vleet go bezerk again for 30 points?

STAY TUNED FOR SUNDAY NIGHT HOOPS!

Wizards defense and offense are in free fall and Washington's troubles are amplified by their inability force turnovers or hold on to the ball themselves.

The Raptors are doing all the things well that the Wizards struggle with so I could see the Wizards lay another egg in this one.

Also, at some point FAH1223 has to start accepting some blame for monopolizing game thread creation irrespective of outcome

The team has been overachieving all season, but now it's time to come back to earth. The lack of talent on this roster is starting to show.

No way. The game threads are awesome. And timely. Better than being ducler'd

No reason to believe we won’t get smoked. Team lost its identity when it decided to stop giving effort on defense.

Already sick of this game, wtf is this offense and can they play defense without sending them to the stripe?

Yeah, I'll give it about 10 minutes more and I'm likely going to tune out. Same thing every game coming out flat, no objective on offense and doing stupid things on defense.

Classic Dinwiddie. Passing up an open jumper to over pass it to Beal who had to force an awkward jumper because shot clock was about to buzz.

The one thing Beal was doing well this season has begun to regress, free throw shooting.

He's just an awful all-around passer. He struggles mightily to just inbound the ball.

Goodnight gang, this team has quickly turned into a joke. No hustle, no want, no grit. About to be the 4th blowout in 7 games.

Neto vs Banton, encapsulates the problem with the Wizards roster construction and strategy
