Can CLE get an ATL wing?

Post#1 » by Willarmm » Sun Dec 5, 2021 7:19 am

Instead of posting a trade that would probably be lopsided in value, I figured I would ask ATL fans which of their young wings they would be willing to part with? Deandre Hunter or Cam reddish? I’m assuming since you resigned Huerter, he is in the long term plans. What would a package from CLE be to get that trade done?

If this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move…

Gallo, Wright, Reddish

For

Rubio, Osman, Okoro

Atlanta get a strong defensive SG and an upgraded PG.

Cavs get A young wing in Reddish and a vet wing in Gallo for the downgrade of Rubio to Wright.

Doncic will be goat. Lauri will be his sidekick.

I already know you have never watched a cavaliers game this year if you think they will give up garland for anything you are even willing to offer up. I was thinking a fair trade would be for sexton at the end of the year in a sign and trade for 1 of the wings

I see Okoro as a SF but I still like this.

For Sexton maybe. He would fill Reddish's role off the bench but more offensively than defensively.

I would LOVE for the Cavs to try and trade for Gallo. What do Hawks fans think he’d cost?

I want nothing to do with Cam Reddish unless he magically develops a 3 point shot.

Edit- Crap Gallos money would be an issue.

If we’re not going to get a long-term solution at the wing position, I’m not interested in trading guys who have actually given this team valuable minutes. I’d rather just take my chances in the draft or wait for 2023 free agency when Love comes off the books. Neither 33 year old Gallo nor Reddish, who has looked horrible every step of the way since high school, is an improvement over Lauri or Cedi, the latter of whom we would be giving away. Rubio has provided important leadership and playmaking/defense to this team. And unlike Reddish, at least Okoro is already good on one end of the floor while being 2 years younger.

.382 from three for the season so far. His career average is .323. I like Cam a lot. Always have. The knock on him from high school and college being lazy or a malcontent has not been a issue with the Hawks.

Sexton for Cam actually makes some sense. Meniscus are tricky injuries however, not sure if offered some kind of mid 1st Cle wouldn't take that
