Travis Schlenk, Landry Fields Likely To Sign Extensions With Hawks

Travis Schlenk and members of the front office are expected to sign contract extensions with the Atlanta Hawks by the start of the offseason.

Assistant general manager Landry Fields is trending toward being promoted to the Hawks’ general manager under Schlenk.

Schlenk was hired by the Hawks in 2017 and has built a playoff contender around Trae Young. Young, John Collins and Kevin Huerter recently signed long-term deals, while Nate McMillan is also on a multi-year deal as head coach.

It's night and day how much better run the Hawks front office is under Schlenk than it was under Budenholzer, Danny Ferry or Rick Sund. Nice to have leadership that actually know what they're doing. And nice to have an owner smart enough to let them make the bball decisions.

Wow wasn’t Landry Fields just playing in the NBA very recently?? I think he’s like 5/6 yrs younger than guys like LeBron/CP3 etc lol and now he’s gonna be an NBA GM? Crazy.
