I think Morey is too stubborn and he won't be moved until the offseason.

He should but I doubt Morey pulls the trigger.

Theres no reason. Maxey is too young to lead them to the finals, bucks and nets are too healthy rn, miami probably beats them if the sixers dont get another star too. morey gotta pull a rabbit out the hat in the next 365 days with ben.

The reason is yet another wasted year of Embiid’s prime. No one knows how the playoffs will play out and who will get injured. They have to go for it.

I’m voting yes. Morley is smart enough to understand this.

Yeah I don't see it. They're just not going to throw away Embiid's prime by rushing this.

If Simmons not mentally ready to play. Why are other teams trying to get Simmons for cheap role players and mid to late future first round picks?

He’s not mentally ready to play? Right?

He needs to sit for entire 12 months and mental health experts can put him though the ringer if he’s has a mental disability that may be permanent. Sixers can than began the process to get salary cap relief.

Everyone wins in this situation.

They could of traded him by now but I think they way over valued him. He’s value has only gone down, by a bit imo so I have a hard time seeing them reach a deal.

CJ was the guy I think they should have traded him for. Just straight up, made sense for both but Philly want way more. ( I know he got injured but I’ve thought this for a while).

CJ isn't great and just as expensive and offers no defense.

Anyways, Simmons say he's not mentally ready to play.

Not sure how you missed this talking point that's been repeated ad nauseam, but making a trade now for like CJ McCollum and scraps still requires a miracle for them to beat MIL, BKN, MIA, PHX, UTA, etc in the playoffs, and it makes it nearly impossible for them to acquire the sort of talent that could get them to that level. People keep talking about 'wasting Embiid's prime' like that means completely not thinking of anything beyond this spring.

Morey obviously isn't stupid, he's just all in on the big tough gamble of getting a star. He knows that Simmons is a big matching contract and that adding in some combo of Maxey, Thybulle, picks, etc makes that a very strong package for any star who becomes available.

I'm definitely not saying that's the right or only move, but it's getting really tiresome to hear people just repeat 'LOL Morey what a delusional idiot.' It's a reasonable if conrtoversial play, if you're not getting that you're missing the conversation.

Just curious, why do think the offers will be better in the summer?

Same offers as right now. Nothing will change. But I think he also will be willing to try to unload Harris who's contract is a little more managable with 2 years ago. But he also sees how the young guys perform in the playoffs like Maxey.

I think Maxey's play has really put the Fox trade rumors to sleep. While Fox is a better player now, he's not that much better than 2nd year just turned 21 year old maxey.

At least this point, he's gonna to wait till draft positions will be known. Remember Simmons only pulled this mental card in October when he was out of options.

Or who knows, Morey will have simmons continue to sit out with mental problems and than try to get salary cap relief since Simmons isn't mentally ready to play next summer.

Voted no, hope I’m wrong....

I want him out west so wiz don’t have to deal with him or I want the wiz to trade Neto and Dinwid for him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Reddick and Collins go for Simmons...

Simmons will say whatever in order not to play for the Sixers.
He will play ball again on another team. We don't know when that will happen but we know it for sure.

That's a mental disability and qualifes for career ending salary cap relief.

Simmons value is only gonna go lower and lower lol. His value isn't going to magically recover for no reason.

I don't think Tobias is going to be any more managable in the summer. He'll still have 2 years/77M, it won't be any easier to move him.
i kind of agree with you in that Morey won't trade him yet but i don't think the sixers will be any better off, the offers aren't going to get better while Simmons sits
