I like the change. It's new and creative. I'm sure a lot of people won't like it cuz it's too much change. But for ASW Game I like experimenting and trying new stuff. Also cool to see GLeague Infinite players, see how they stack up amongst fellow youjf players in NBA

I'm hype for this because I enjoy following young players and see who's up next. Also target score will make it competitive so I like that idea as well.

Awesome change. I doubt Suggs makes it as the rookie talent pool is insane this year, but it will be fun to watch Franz.

Wonder if Cole is one of the sophomores? He didn't make the all rookie team last season.

[Silver just Silverin'] NBA Announces New Format To Rising Stars Game

Post#6 » by OrangeBlueSkies » Tue Jan 25, 2022 9:04 pm

Shams Charania: Sources: The NBA has a new format for Rising Stars at All-Star Weekend, featuring four seven-player teams competing in a three-game tournament and each game having final target score. 28 players: 12 rookies, 12 sophomores – and for the first time, four G League Ignite players. – via Twitter ShamsCharania

I think it's nice to include some G league dudes, considering the impact of the G league on this season ALONE.

Seriously? You posted a basically empty thread just so you can be first?

Rising Stars game now a 3-game tournament, will also feature G-league players

Post#8 » by NyKnicks1714 » Tue Jan 25, 2022 9:06 pm

https://www.nba.com/news/2022-nba-all-star-clorox-rising-stars-tournament-explainer

The 2022 All-Star Clorox Rising Stars will feature an updated, mini-tournament format this year at All-Star weekend in Cleveland.

Instead of Team World vs. Team USA (and previously Rookies vs. Sophomores), this year’s Rising Stars will feature three games between four teams of rookies, sophomores, and — for the first time — players from NBA G League Ignite.

12 rookies plus 12 sophomores equals 28 players? Amazing synergy

That made my head hurt but it can't hurt the current product so I'll still be watching. They're trying to get rid of all useless time throughout a normal game by making all moments matter in a shortened version.

Also, seems like more of an incentive for those star recruits to skip college and join Ignite for a chance to appear during allstar weekend.

It's a game no one cares about, so I'll for experimenting with the format.

Not really a fan of the format but I’ll give it a shot I guess. Calling it the Clorox rising stars tournament is barf inducing btw. Ridiculous amount of advertising surrounding all star weekend like always.

Fantasy Hoops/Football/Baseball fans..

For info on a forum that actually talks Fantasy sports and not spammed with soliciting leagues, PM me. The more the merrier !

Seems fun, or at least fun enough to give it a try.. but I'm sure other posters will trash any change while saying how the previous format sucked so there will be some people always miserable.

I guess this could be interesting since this is the most boring event besides the celebrity game. But can we just go back to Rookies vs Sophomores instead?
