Which recent draft duo would you pick to build a franchise around?
Which recent draft duo would you pick to build a franchise around? Assume you're starting from scratch for next year and the rest of your roster needs to be filled out with MLE or below FAs and a few draft picks.

Screw it I'll take Luka and Trae. The proven talent is just too much to pass up

For sure the most proven of all the duos, but also perhaps the most questionable fit.

Mobley & Cade
Hard to top a great big & wing.
There's too much overlap with Luka/Trae & not enough defence, LaMelo & Edwards not enough defence either....and I'm not even sold Zion will even be able to stay healthy.

Edwards and Ball would complement each other so perfectly. Unfortunately great back court duos don't have the best track record

Zion and Ja have the highest ceiling if healthy IMO. That would be an amazing duo to watch.
AKME got to go

I said Mobley and Cade but for entertainment it would be Ball & Edwards. Ball/Edwards would be lob city on steroids. It would be like when VC went to the Nets to play with Kidd.

In the future some of these young players will team up for sure. I wonder who will end up as teammates in future super teams.
To answer the question, Ball and Edwards. These two together will be must see TV. I hope we get to see them play together under one team on the Clorox (sounds weird) Rising Stars game.

The option missing is Lamelo and Mobley, and this is something Hornets could/should have done if they did not think they were ready to compete last year.

It's not missing because they're not the same draft class lol nor do the Hornets have the ability to control the ping pong balls to ensure a top 3 pick.

Mobley tips the scales here. Out of these 8 here would be my top 4 pairings in general:
Luka & Mobley
Ja & Mobley
Trae & Mobley
Cade & Mobley
Luka & Mobley
Ja & Mobley
Trae & Mobley
Cade & Mobley

Switch it to Luka and Ayton. That's a landslide.
