He's a pretty good player and he is going to have a nice career in the NBA.
That being said, he's not in the same universe with his father.
Arvydas is the greatest euro of all time imo and it isn't particularly close.

I am both a Blazer fan and a Zag. Domantas is a solid and very skilled player but his father was indeed on another tier. If the elder Sabonis could have made it over earlier and joined those Drexler era Blazer squads, it would have changed the entire trajectory of the league in the ‘90s. When he finally came over and started as a broken 31 year old rookie, he was still incredibly impactful.

He has to be a perennial all-star to be able to get in the HOF.

Dirk was great, but I think Arvydas was the most talented player ever, period. Not successful, but talented.

Does TALENT make the greatest Euro ever, or, say, what you did on the court?! The most talented basketball player ever might have sat on the couch in his mom's basement his whole life, who knows, but talent PLUS success equals greatness.

You do know that Arvydas had a career before the NBA, right?

Arvydas > Dirk > Luka > Domantis

I think he ends up in the HOF. What is he, already a 3x all-star, with more to come?

That said, just watching some of the clips of Arvydas, that dude could have legitimately been a top 3 center during the 80's to 90's. Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing.

One of, if not the most underrated player in the NBA. In this thread someone just compared him to a slightly improved Bobby Portis without a 3 point shot. If he was putting these numbers up on a winning team more people would take notice

He's noticed. He got 2 All Stars and we're still crying for drafting Thon Maker over him LOL

But you compared him to a slightly improved Portis

Hey at least you took Brogdon in the 2nd round, a number of teams will look back at that draft and wish they took Siakam or Murray before the countless end of bench players taken ahead of them

Well check out their stats... they're not really that different, except Bobby plays less because he's on a better team.
Then add in the fact that Bobby also shoots 3s, and makes only $4m, and it gets a bid cloudy.
