Does Klay make top 75 if Dubs win this year?

There were alot of discussion on Klay believing he should be part of the top 75 of all time. I was in the camp that believes he doesn't deserve to be part of that group. If Klay ends up average 20pts off his usual efficiency and Dubs win it all this year. Does it make him more qualify to be in that group in your eyes?

I think peak Klay Thompson is easily a top 75 but not for his career. Unfortunately I don't think he has a pathway to the top 75 at this point. His pathway to the top 75 was as the splash brother, #2 guy on a dynasty team. But when KD joined it knocked him down to the 3rd or even 4th best player. Then when KD left Klay got injured. Now unfortunately it looks like he's past his prime and GSW isn't the phenomenon it once was. Even if they win it this year Im not sure how that does for him unless he leads the way which I dont see happening.

Klay has come around so that he's scoring more, and the spacing he provides is an accelerant for the Warriors' offense, but he's not close to being the player he was pre-injury. He got overshadowed by Curry and Durant, but even with Durant out, they had a real shot at coming back to win the 2019 finals if Klay didn't get hurt. He was awesome.

As well as Klay is playing now, it's early in his comeback, and he should be better next season. We'll see how much of his old form he can recover.

Regardless, he's not top 75. It's fine that he and his teammates think he should be top 75, but no.

depends if he score 30 on every game on 70%TS and got a FMVP...maybe there is a case?

yes, hes already top 75 of all time. he didn't make the list, cause the NBA included everyone from the 50th list.

If Klay averages an efficient 20 points a game in the playoffs and wins a championship he is arround the 75th best player.

He's won three championships - two as the fourth best player on the team and one as the third. If they win this year he will, at best, be the third best player and potentially the fourth if Jordan Poole continues to play a big role.

It's not a particularly compelling resume even if he is one of the best three point shooters ever.
