so i generally try to not let rings on their own influence my opinion of players, but subjectively speaking is clear they change how players, coaches ot teams are perceived.
bucks and giannis have a very different narrative this season if they lose to nets last year for example
how does the general view of all these players, coaches of orgsnizations change with a ring? would it change your view of their career significatively
sixers (embiid?, harden?, doc?)
miami (butler?, what does ir do for spoesltra resume?)
bucks (what does this do for giannis career "legacy"?)
boston (does this get tstum into best player discussions?)
warriors (does a fourth ring do anythingh for warriors core ?)
suns (what does a ring won out of his prime make somethingh for chris paul career?)
and while i dont see them ready for going all the way yet, in case they won
mavs
memphis
what would that do for the "legacy" of players like curry, embiid, butler, paul, etc
of course in a perfect world the ring on their own
-shouldnt- matter rather than only their level of play so there is a whole debate too to be had if it should matter at all when evaluating their careers
what do you think?

Sixers - Harden wouldn't have the player who choked in the playoffs as much. Embiid would be a top 10 Center of all time.
Miami - Spo would be a top 10 coach of all time. Butler a top 10 SF of all time.
Boston - Just adds to their legacy. Tatum joins the group with the "Elite" superstars of the league, right now on the cusp. Brown top 3 SG.
Warriors - Curry solidifies himself as the second greatest PG of all time ahead of Oscar Robertson and is borderline top 10 player of all time. We start talking about these Warriors V 2015 squad.
Suns - Chris Paul solidifies himself as a top 4 PG of all time overtaking the likes of Nash, Isiah, Frazier, and is now on the Mount Rushmore of PGs with Magic, Oscar and Curry
Bucks - Giannis becomes a top 10 PF of all time, borderline top 5. (Still needs longevity for top 5 status.) Bucks are a low tier dynasty. (late 80s Lakers tier)
Mavs - Luka joins the conversion as best player in the league.

Bucks - Giannis becomes 2nd best PF of all time. Borderline top 10 ATG. (Still needs longevity.)
Mavs - Luka joins the conversion as best player in the league, and back on track to GOAT.

Its going to be hard to argue that since Dirk only has 1, Barkley has none. Karl Malone has none.
That will give Giannis two plus comparable peaks.
I just wonder how soon is too soon to crown someone when the others have much longer careers.

To me, for players at this caliber, longevity is just icing on the cake. His longevity would not be an issue with his work ethic unless something extremely unfortunate happens.
