MAN!

Here is to the good vibes of the 2022-23 season.

Everyone is looking strong and sounding fired up about losing to Philly in the first round. The boys are out for blood, and a first round exit just wont do this year.

I am at the stage of saying this is Justin Champagnie's spot to lose. He is still only 21, rebounds and can shoot it from the corners.

DJ and JJ are known entities in the NBA. JJ couldn't even secure a spot on Detroit? Reminds me of Svi. Once you been rejected by Detroit, you may not be an NBA player.

DJ Wilson had his moments, but once they signed Juancho, I just don't see him being a good enough stretch four option.

To me training camp will mostly be about taking the next step as a team being able to more able to adapt on the fly on defense where they flip defensive possessions to go from zone to double teams.

Also, this year better be about putting a much more modern offense that is less about match-ups and more about movement. We have added OPJ, Juancho, and Thad - that is all stressing guys who can move with and without the ball and great read and react options. We no longer need just Fred or Pascal to get into sets. Give me some pinch-post triangle offense.

Can we get a live stream set up of training camp, just to feed the addiction? I need to watch something!

Year 2 Scottie is legit going to be one of the strongest forwards in the league, can't imagine him by the time he's 26+.

JJ was traded to the Kings for Bagley - maybe the Pistons wanted a try at Bagley? JJ had a so-so season with the Pistons; nothing great but it wasn't a disaster either. It is strange that the Raptors brought in JJ soon after releasing Svi. It is probably Banton and Champagnie who will round out the roster, but if JJ has an amazing camp, I can see Champagnie being let go (I don't think he is that special either).

Champagnie needs another year of dominating the g league. Still young at 21 but he's still on that development curve of getting to be an everyday rotation player. I think they likely keep him and give him next season to develop again.

Juancho is fully guaranteed? I thought it was a camp partial.

ya its fully guaranteed. by the sounds of it, they had to give it to him for him to join. sergio scariolo played a big part convicing him to join.

That's quick! Is there a public inter-squad game this year?

Champagnie and Banton are the 2 guarantees. They are so far ahead of Josh Jackson and DJ Wilson.

Thanks. That's always a fun event with the guys getting a bit competitive but wanting real competition. It's the first bits of pre-season runs that we'll see aside from the post-practice interviews with guys getting up shots in the background
