Both bigs in this case would be fine ceding some of the offensive responsibility to their all-time guard teammates. Garnett would be trash-talking Gianni, but the latter would reply with a thickly accented dad-joke.

Hmmm. Wade/Giannis leaves a LOT to be desired from a spacing perspective, which leaves me very leery of that pair. Kobe doesn't produce the same kind of efficiency as the other guys at peak and KG isn't in that conversation at all as a 20 ppg type player, but synergy wise, it's a more classical pairing.

Interesting thought, though. Giannis does play alongside ball-handling guards well enough, right? He does have Jrue Holiday, but Jrue is a good 3pt shooter (very good this past season), which changes the texture of their on-court interaction. Wade... was not. Wade was about as good from 3 as Giannis is now, which is not a compliment. That said, you put enough 3pt shooting around them and it does still make a compelling case.

I'm a fan of KG as a #2 with his intensity on defense and his passing. So went with his duo. Plus his outside shooting to open up the paint.
