Matchups: Knicks take 3/5 . Conclusion in my opinion Knicks can take this if they can execute and win key matchups.

Mitch > Adams ( matchup of the night , if Mitch can win this it sways the balance in Knicks favor . Would normally give Adam’s benefit of the doubt , Mitch gets opening day Knicks fan benefit doubt in this one )

Randle > Replacement player ( Jjj out give Knicks a bigger window to win )

Fournier < Brooks ( Seen flashes of the mild ‘point forward I expect Fournier to be. Not bad as a 4th option 12-13 PER SF type . Not as dangerous as Brooks overall so I think it’s clear why Brooks gets the edge )

1.Brunson < Ja ( all nba vs fringe nba all star type)
2,RJ > Bane ( Bane could easily be seen as better but I’m projecting mini harden / Luka RJ archetype at 20-25 ppg)

Knicks will hang in there for 3 quarters then JA shows robot the difference between top 20 and 60 player.

Going to be a good close gritty game. Can’t wait.. not sure who replaces JJJ but I can say Randle should be able to win his matchup. Would be interesting to see if RJ starts on JA or if Brunson takes the matchup seriously. I think Brunson wants it. Going to be a good game.

Expecting this to be another roller coaster type of season. Unexpected wins against teams we shouldn't beat and excruciating losses against the cellar dweller teams. Gotta mentally prepare myself as fan and remind myself, it's just sports! I have no control on the outcome and getting angry and depressed at your basketball team at 40 years old is silly.

But I've been telling myself this the last 30 years and it never works. :lol:

I'm super jealous of Wingo! He got to see Harry "The Horse" Gallatin and Dick McGuire in their prime! And he got to see Clyde and Reed and experience winning championships!

And we'll all be Wingo one day. :-?

Will be a good test. Game is winnable. No JJJ and Brunson while not as good will make JA work on defense. Mitch is key in this game...Ja has had problems with him in the paint. Will Obi be available?
