SGA is too plain, give the man a new nickname (or discuss his bag)

Post#1 » by Clav » Thu Jan 19, 2023 3:51 am

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, "SGA", is absolutely ballin' out. It's a nice moniker, we know who it is, it's easy to remember, but it's just the initials, which doesn't do Gilgeous-Alexander's mightily refined game due justice.

I challenge you, RGM, on this fine year of 2023, to create a better nickname for the main man in OKC.

Spoiler:
Will the real slim Shaidy please stand up!
Cheers

I wasn't sure if he was gonna pan out. I haven't seen a player with two last names hyphenated live up to their potential. SGA might be the first one and we don't have a creative nickname for him.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Keita Bates-Diop
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope
Michael Carter-Williams
Willie Cauley-Stein
Dorian Finney-Smith
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson
Talen Horton-Tucker
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Timothé Luwawu-Carbarrot
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
Juan Toscano-Anderson

Remember Michael Kidd-Gilchrist? See, they usually never pan out.

SGA is the anomaly.

I think of him as "The Eel" because he moves like one, slithery and flowing, plus he's long and thin.
Just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

Yesterday I was lying; today I'm telling the truth.

Plus SGA wears the Converse Weapon. The same shoe that Magic/Bird/Dr. J. wore back in the day. Don't be surprised to see more kids wearing the old Converse and more NBA players switch to Converse.

Molson and LaBatt Blue would sell like crazy if they signed SGA to an endorsement deal.

What about a simple “Slim”?

Has that been done?
