Claxton isn't just a useful player. He's the most valuable player on the team now.

I think he’s an incredibly impactful defensive player. But he’s an UFA next year and can’t be extended due to his 2 year contract.

Maybe this is off by a pick though I’m not sure Portland should give it. But I think the Nets should sell Claxton. They could do it this summer but his value goes down a lot then.

not sure why that matters though. The team will likely do everything they can to keep him and that summer Harris, O'Neale, Din, Mills, etc. have expiring contracts.

If the Nets wanted to trade Claxton pretty sure he could have been just been included in the Suns trade for Ayton.
