Depends on what you mean by NBA calibre player. He’s worthy of an end of bench garbage time spot somewhere in the league, seems to have the right attitude and locker room moxy, so yes, I guess he is.

He’s sort of a 12 man good locker room kind of guy. Can’t hurt to have him on the team.

Sure looks like.

Anyone notice that he's bigger than wiggins? Moody the 3/4 that can guard off the ball and understand the motion offense is exactly the type of player we need.

Moody had a great stint last night but couldn't get more minutes to build on it, because klay and poole decided to go dummy at the start of the 4th.

Jk got yanked and never to return after he gave up that backdoor. Ironically, klay and poole do that once a quarter and get rewarded with more minutes and more shots.

Moody shot a corner air ball and was benched. Again 2 things that our dynamic duo get away with quite frequently.

The young guys must hate kerr and his double standard.

It looks more like "Kerr must hate 'the' young guys," than "'the' young guys must hate Kerr and his double standard."

His ideal role in the league is as PJ Tucker type stretch 4. He’s too slow to stay in front of guards.

I’m very high on JK and pulling for him, but if he is going to be a very good player he’s going to maximize his defensive potential. His role eventually is going to be the guy that our defense will orbit around. Yes, even Draymond makes mistakes, but a coach has a right to hold a young player to a standard that targets certain behaviors for improvement. He has to stop making that particular mistake (or at least not so egregiously as that one last night.)

He knows why he got pulled and if he’s got a winners mentality he’s not keeping score of his teammates mistakes, he’s taking it to heart that HOS defensive contribution is more important to the team and learning from it.

When it comes time to rebuild this team with young talent, I hope Kerr isn’t the the coach. He obviously did well with a stable of historically great vets who he built his system around, but I don’t know if there’s any flexibility there for making something else work. Or tolerating mistakes young guys are going to make. He’s always going to be subconsciously comparing everyone to prime Steph, Draymond, and Klay, and that’s not fair.

I’d rather have a guy like Kerr who holds young guys accountable than someone like Steven Silas who just lets his guys do whatever the hell they want and it looks like effing street ball. Maybe Atkinson would be a nice middle ground guy. He did we’ll developing guys in Brooklyn.

Even when Wiseman was here, seemed that Poole and even Klay (depending if he was more Klank than Klay the previous game) had their fair share of supporters for team scape goat.

Considering that Moody is still only 20, he fails at legally buying booze way better than Lamb...The point being that he's nearly 5 years younger than Lamb. Also, Moody doesn't have sexual harassment/rape allegations pending against him in Vermont. Having more on-court upside and no off-court legal baggage should be considered factors in favor of Moody when comparing him to Lamb.

If you look at the game logs, especially those handful of starts he's had his two seasons, Moody has put up some decent offensive numbers. Same thing when they occasionally sent him down to G-League. It's when Curry and/or Klay are in the lineup that Moody's offense disappears (in terms of FGA per 36).

If he could get that 3P% over 40% he would be Klay’s clear backup but his shooting is still cheeks

He needs to shoot.

In those games where he has 5+ 3PA this season, he's shooting 29/68 3pt (42.6%). Otherwise, he's shooting 7/35 (20%).

Last season he was 22/52 (42.3%) in games with 5+ 3PA.

The problem is that he only shoots when he is literally wide open. He's way too passive of a shooter.
