So Nations League not taken seriously?

Post#1 » by wco81 » Fri Jun 16, 2023 5:33 am

Watching replay of Spain-Italy.

No discussion here because it’s new, doesn’t have the history of the Euro?

Or are the national teams taking it seriously?

Are these the same lineups which the top European teams would play if this was the Euro?

Or do teams treat these matches the same way clubs approach domestic cup competitions as opposed to the top league matches?

Is the Nations League like the Carabao Cup of Euro national team competition?

Certainly not relevant as a competition, but still the best available players start in those games.

I don’t even know why they have games after the season in a non WC / EC year.

Players should be resting their bodies.

Meaningless competition.
