Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan Beef... what is the deal?
Seems like Scottie always goes back and forth on if MJ is the GOAT or not. Now it looks like
How much of this do you think has to do with Larsa Pippen dating Marcus Jordan (Michael Jordan's son)?
Anyways, it's a shame that probably the best dynamic duo in NBA history turned into a sour soap opera.

Pippen just doesn't feel like he gets enough credit for the 6 championships, he's always had a chip on his shoulder about it. The rest of it is minor issues.

Yeah, he was. But this time he called him a horrible player and a horrible teammate.

Jordan's kid smashing Pippen's wife/ex wife probably doesn't help

Pippen may not get the credit he deserves. But the history books all show that MJ never won a championship without Pippen. So Pippen is immortalized in NBA history.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

this guy is a bum, not sure what else he wants, widely considered one of the best if not best robin of all time, is a HoFer, made the all 75 team, Pippen name is known worldwide...he gets better treatment than the vast majority of that era's stars too.
dude is just a loser who's jealous of Jordan and wants a piece of his mythology...I'm sure Mike's son banging his ex doesn't help matters either but that's what you get for trying to wife an NBA thot.

Not just credit but also salary. In their time together in Chicago, MJ earned almost $90M while Pippen get paid $20M+ with same years played but that's his fault for signing that secured long-term contract earlier in his career without opt-out clause, he's basically way underpaid as a Bull.

I mean Jordan wasn’t a particularly good team player for a while. He matured and figured it out and became the greatest ever. Pippen wasn’t very elegant in how he worded it, but it wasn’t exactly unclear what he meant.

Yeah, part of me feels bad for him. But it's not like this is the first time this has happened between him and his wife. I think she had an affair with Future as well. So who knows how long she's been doing this during their marriage.

He's certainly not a Janetty. He had a great career himself. He's just bitter.

Re: Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan Beef... what is the deal?
The Jordan doc spun that some of the other guys on the Bulls were less important than they really were, it's unclear who was actually responsible for that aspect of it, but it's known that Jordan had a lot of say in what appeared on screen.
In particular, Pippen is made to look bad twice in the documentary, first when the Bulls lose to the Pistons in 1990 when Pippen was unable to play for game 7 of the series due to a migrane headache. Again, Pippen is made to look greedy during the final year of the Bulls' second threepeat, he was sitting out and taking a long time to come back from injuries because he felt he wasn't making enough money.
Pippen isn't the only one who had a huge problem with the documentary, Jordan also took heat from Horace Grant about the way he was depicted and the things Jordan said about him.

Scottie is clearly in a bad place mentally, but he's also very insecure and not exactly the brightest bulb.
Doctor MJ wrote:I don't understand why people jump in a thread and say basically, "This thing you're all talking about. I'm too ignorant to know anything about it. Lollerskates!"

Probably jealous of Jordan but if somebody have the right to give his or her opinion on the subject of Jordan, than its him.

Actually 3, in between those 2 segments, the talked a lot about Pippen sitting out because he couldn't take the last shot against the Knicks.
But I think I see what you are saying. The 2 segments you were talking about, Pippen was more justified. He had legit reasoning. But the documentary kind of spun it in a way to show "why he's not Jordan" (e.g. Jordan played through an illness while Scottie did not, Jordan rushed through injury rehab while Scottie did not).

Jordan had final say on what made it into the documentary. He could have asked his former teammates if they were ok with being portrayed a certain way in the doc, he could have screened it for them ahead of time. He didn't do that, and he didn't stop the doc from doing a deep dive into the details around Pippen's contract and how dumb he was for signing it in the first place, was that really necessary in a doc about Jordan? Was it necessary for Jordan to make comments about Horace Grant's weight and eating habits? Or is he one of those guys who needs to denigrate those around him to make himself look better?

The Documentary is called "The Last Dance" not "Michael Jordan". Sure, its primarily about Jordan, but it's about the end of the Bulls dynasty teams. They have to talk about his teammates.
You think they should just gloss over the stuff Pippen did? If so..fine, but people would complain about that too.
There's no way they could please all his teammates in the documentary. That's not realistic or possible.
