Nba Draft Outfiits

Post#1 » by InsideInfo » Fri Jun 23, 2023 4:19 pm

Was wondering if anyone had thoughts on the draft outfits.

When you look back over the years, guys like Allen Iverson in 96 and Westbrook in 08... guys who are well known for having their own style of fashion... both chose to wear traditional suits to the draft.

Other guys like Lebron in 03 and Joakim in 07 wore what at the time was considered "bold" draft day suits. Those suites today would be some of the most tradition outfits you see on stage at a draft.

Am I just out of touch with the times or are these outfits really as tacky and awful as I think they are?

Gradey Dick looked like a dork. I thought, eh maybe it's a bit cool in a retro-Devo sort of way, but nope, just looked dorky. I just hope he doesn't think he can rap.

I hate it. I think they all look like clowns. If my kid dresses up like that I'd be supremely pissed.

However we live in a world of diversity and inclusion, so that's just my personal opinion and I don't mind people loving those outfit.

This is not about fashion anymore. Nowadays fashion = who looks the most outrageous / stands out the most / generates the most twitter feeds.

it's a night for them to dress up and experiment with fashion, nothing wrong with that. i really liked taylor hendricks' suit.

that said, gradey dick just reminded me of harry styles in his music video as it was.

Scoot Henderson looked terrible with the tacky gemstones all over his suit, but to each their own. I think it looks dumb, but they obviously don't and it's their choice so be you.

Again, you be you, me be me. To me they all look more silly than fashion. I'd rather see Jokic in a normal suit and tie which would look clean and relatable.

Did you see the slime at the Paris fashion show. It was like Nickelodeon kids grew up and are in charge and need slime to be added. Pharrell from DC is now in charge of fashion and he is wearing a Minecraft suit.

Give these teenagers millions and watch how bad they dress and how quickly they waste it

Haha!

I had just made a similar comment.
The Duran Duran, Adam and the Ants, New Order, U2, Cyndi Lauper/Grace Jones/David Bowie/Prince, new wave, post-punk, New Romantic style seems to be on the comeback. Ha!

I typically enjoy the crazy stuff these kids come up with.

But Gradey looked like an idiot.
