They have some similarities in their game! Both can get hot and score! (both somewhat inefficient from the field)

Both are pretty active defenders/tries to be pesky

Fred's a better 3 point shooter but Dennis is a better slasher with more speed/better first step

One gets paid 40+ mil a year while the other gets 13 mil a year

Honest question! How big is the drop off in team performance if you plug in DENNIS SCHRODER and take out FRED Van Vleet?

I personally think Dennis has a higher BBIQ than Fred, which I really like adding to the team.

I voted no difference, whatever Fred exceeds him at in terms of basketball ability Dennis surpasses Fred at in terms of fit and style of play. They cancel each other out for me in terms of overall impact on a team. That's how disruptive to the flow of the game I believe Fred was.

Dennis adds a lot more size to the raptors in the sense that he has a surprising 6-7/8 wingspan

Can get some of those layups to drop unlike fred lol

I actually like the signing because Schroder is fast and can attack the paint.

We are still firmly stuck in no man’s land however. So its hard to get too excited.

Fred is a better 3pt shooter....that might be it

Dennis is a quite decent finisher at the hoop. The wingspan as you mentioned.

Shroder is barely an NBA player while Fred is one of the better PGs in the league. Shroder isn't a good shooter or passer and he has low basketball IQ.

But it doesn't matter. I'm just happy we didn't overpay Fred. Shroder will average 15-20 MPG for us and that's what we paid him to do.

He'll be on his best behaviour because I suspect he signed this deal as a "prove it" type of deal.

I don’t think Schroeder is going to be expected to have the same huge role. So it doesn’t really matter. I’m more viewing it as how talented is he for a 6th/7th/8th man. Which is the role I see for him.

I have no issue with the dollars. That's 7th-8th man money soon. The man has been humbled since turning down that big LAL deal.
