Boston Red Sox center fielder Jarren Duran will undergo turf toe surgery Wednesday and miss the remainder of the season.
\"He\'s gonna lose the season,\" Alex Cora said. \"The expectations are for him to be back and ready to go for spring training.\"
Duran had been on the 10-day injured list and hadn\'t played since Aug. 10.
The 27-year-old was hitting .295/.346/.482 with eight home runs, 40 RBI and 24 stolen bases.
