Nassir Little thread.

Post#1 » by Saberestar » Thu Sep 28, 2023 4:03 pm

Underrated acquisition.

He has a fair long-term contract and some untapped potential.

6'5 but with a 7'1 wingspan and a solid frame (225 lbs). Switchable defender capable to defend 2/3/4.

Plays hard, decent 3p shot, low usage player and is really athletic...he looks a perfect fit next to high usage scorers/creators like Beal/Book/KD.

Jones should trade him quickly as possible it is. The question is what else we could receive except 2rd picks ?

3&D prospect with a season already under his belt of 10/5 averages in 26 mpg.

Could easily win a rotation spot with our group.

Dont think he's in our best 9-10 players, depth for regular season?

Maybe he helps us not rush Durant back?

Not sure really.

Should be a huge piece come playoff time. Can’t wait to watch him play.

12-15th guy on bench, pointless acquisition.

Would not be surprised to see him become part of the rotation and maybe starting SF. Bates-Diop, Okogie, or Little. It’s who is best at hitting the wide open three ball.

Probably makes Okogie redundant now given how bad Okogie is shooting outside of 5 feet from the basket.

Seems like little is an okay role player but he is what he is just a serviceable wing/guard on a reasonable contract.

In the big competition for 6th best non big. Literally anyone could emerge in any stretch out of all those guys. Probably different guys will look good in spurts. But at least Little is younger. Just got on his 2nd contract and still only 23.

Okogie will be more playable in a lineup with Nurkic since Nurkic can hit the three. Okogie's POA defense is clearly the best of all our wings - that's going to be valuable.

Little, KBD and Yuta can battle for minutes.

I think we'll look to aggregate Little + other salary (maybe Damion Lee) to get a player in the 9-10 million range - one viable option is Royce O'Neale.

Can also get more ambitious and aggregate Little + Allen to get a player in the 15 million range.

Small pf, doesn’t really have the bulk to check big sf/pf, doesn’t really have the handles for sf.

Streaky shot, great attitude, always hurt.

10th-12th man but will tease.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Right now he is player that brings physicality, effort on defense and energy on the court. He stil has a lot of potential and room to improve so he could become better during the season both defensively and offensively.

Nassir Little really brings energy. He will be easy to like if healthy.

More interested in Metu than this guy if we have to attach 'if healthy' even for a young player on an already injury prone team.

Nassir Little stats for the last 4 games:

9.5 points, 3.5 boards, 1.5 assists, 1.0 block per game.

Vogel has given to him more and more minutes in those 4 games...11, 20, 22 and 27 minutes.

I have been impressed with his drives to the basket in transition, he goes strong and can finish in traffic.
