Will we unlock a great Towns and Ant two man game?

It seems like we have not figured this out yet and it would be very powerful. Kat and Edwards have yet to get on the same page really well and play off of eachother. It kind of seems like one night Edwards is carrying the team, one night Towns is or they will take turns during quarters but we have yet to seem them consistently play together as a 1, 2 punch to give teams fits for a consistent stretch.

Do you think we will develop this? Do you think it will be a devastating combination of we do or do you think it won't be a good fit on this squad as constricted?

Towns just scored 8 points in a row vs. Pelicans, all with spectacular shots, looks like the most entertaining big man in the NBA.
And Edwards is probably the most entertaining swingman, or top 3.

They both can show great offense just saying, can we find a way to get them to play off each other? I don't think we have seen it yet where they are actively playing off of each other in way that is giving the other team fits for a sustainable period of time. It's more like one goes off for a while and the other does for a while. I don't even know how often one assist to the other. I think they could really be dangerous if they could develop nice chemistry if they could better play off each other more often.

I personally don’t think they have on court chemistry at all. You’d think they’d be included in more plays together than they are. Two man game isn’t there.

Could be that due to Towns position change, he’d bring his defender to Ant which could be a less than favorable matchup.

Are Edwards and Towns on the court together usually?
Even if they don't develop chemistry at least they are experts at getting their own shot, so they don't really need each other.

In previous games this year, when other teams started double-teaming Ant, Towns seemed confused whether to shoot or drive when he only faced one defender. It was like he’d been doubled himself a lot his whole career, and he had too many options running through his head. It also felt like it was taking him too long to decide.

Tonight he looked great. His postgame description of his mindset scoring the winning bucket shows his basketball IQ is kicking in.

More than anything, I was impressed with his confidence. He made the previous three knowing it was going in, and when he walked by JimPete on nearly the last possession, he whispered to JimPete “watch this.” The Pels blew up the play, but the confidence was what I will remember. It was like he was telling Ant, “I got us this time,” and I loved Ant cheering KAT on at the end of the interview. If Towns can pick up Ant on bad nights, and Ant can pick up Towns on bad nights, other teams are really going to have a hard time beating us.
